Really? I thought Floyd dominated that fight tbh. It wasn't even close. IIRC I had it 9-3 Mayweather. DLH won a maximum of 3 rounds in that fight and that's being generous. To have it level after 8 you must have been listening to that awful HBO commentary. Truly the worst commentating i've had the misfortune of hearing, it was like Floyd wasn't even in the fight. The way all three of them were cheerleading for Oscar was just ridiculous. Especially Lampley who has a habit of getting the pom-poms out anytime one of his favourites is in that ring, and Oscar was probabily his number 1.
Had it 9-3 mayweather as well & thats being kind to oscar. How anyone can score that fight for oscar is beyond me. FTR I thought floyd-castillo 1 was a draw.
I had Castillo winning by a couple of points, but it's a very close fight and not the robbery it's percieved to be. I think the point deductions were key. Castillo fought a great fight in the second half though. A clinic in pressure fighting against the much more talented opponent. He really came on after the first 4/5 rounds which Floyd swept.
Saturday afternoon on regular US TV. Yep, it's key because they were both winning the round before the deductions IMHO. You could concievably score both rounds 9-9.
I remember Manny Steward claiming ODLH was pulling away at on point when on my scorecard he was not ahead at any point. I had it 3-2 Floyd after 5 which was the closest it got. Had it 8-4 at the end being generous and giving the last round to Oscar.
