I think I'd go for either Leonard 1 or the Barkley fight. I know Barkley wasn't in Haglers league but Duran dominated the fight and won very impressively.

For an old lightweight to last the distance against a monster like Hagler was amazing but it was still a losing performance against a strangly reluctant Hagler.

    "Yer pays yer money...."

i dont rate the barkley fight i think Duran struggled abit and the KD pulled it through for him no doubt he won though.

i think moore and hagler is greater performances and Palomino for that matter

although Leonard is the best im just throwing performances out there

I disagree with your there Greg. For me it was a great performance. That he he could drag that out of himself 2 full weights above his best fighting weight, 20 plus years after his debut and really at that stage a shadow of his former self against a hungry, dangerous, powerful middleweight. Those other fights you're talking are better demonstrations of skill and abilty, no doubt. This was a demonstration of pride, which at the time some people thought he had lost.

i think it was one of those fights where the occasion is better than the fight but i must say i do like watching both the fighters ,hagler is out of this world and on that particular night i think sibson would of needed to shot gun to win

I got around to watching the undercard of the Ortiz-Maidana bill

I was really impressed with match-making of those two young prospects:

    Michael Perez - Thomas Herrera

It was a pity that it was only a 4 rounder because it was a great little scrap and was Herrera might have got him if it went on longer.

Agreed but at 23 he can grow.

Hope he wins on saturday and then he would get a title shot.

Just watched Marcel Cerdan-Tony Zale for the first time, what a fight and what a terrific performace for Cerdan. The punishment Zale took in that fight was unreal.

And that left hook at the end of the 11th to sink Zale to his knees :scaredas:

    Toney Vs Nunn

Funny how the commentators dont seem to have any idea how good Toney is. He had a poor first half to the fight but kept at it, and from the 8th there was only one winner. Good match.
