The Wild Card in the whole Fury-Joshua-Wilder story is ... Andy Ruiz. Could history repeat?

Last week, Fury and Andy Ruiz met for the first time at a charity event. Both got along great. Both like each other.

In April 2019, Andy Ruiz appeared on a PBC undercard against Dimitrenko. Bob Arum had dropped Ruiz in January 2019 because he was so disgusted with Ruiz and his seeming disregard for the sport. The PBC had picked him up.

In June, Jarrell Miller falls out against Joshua and Ruiz, Mr. Johnny on the Spot, was in the right place at the right time and accepted an offer to fight Joshua ...

    And Andy won three belts.

On May 1, Andy Ruiz fights Chris Arreola. The Fury-Joshua fight looks like it may not happen this summer.

If Ruiz wins Saturday, and if the Ruiz-Arreola PPV does well (which I think it will) and you were handling Fury ... knowing Fury wants to fight twice this year ...

Would you offer the summer fight to Wilder or Ruiz?

Bob Arum likes repeats. That's why Manny fought Marquez and Tim Bradley so many times. They are easier to sell. Bob also still badmouths Ruiz any chance he gets.

I think Bob might lean toward Wilder, but if you want to get under Joshua's skin, which I'm sure Fury does, would you offer the fight to Ruiz?

Who would be tougher for Fury to beat - Ruiz or Wilder?

Wilder can knock out anyone - Fury included - with that right hand. But Fury has to believe he could outbox Ruiz.

When Fury met Ruiz, he said "Look at you, chubby." It was a joke, and everyone laughed, because Ruiz has lost weight. But I could see Fury-Ruiz being a big seller.

Is Andy Ruiz the wild card in all this?

If Ruiz wins impressively this weekend, does he become a front runner to fight Tyson Fury?

    Arum likes money

Kabayel still on that waiting list if the summer plans fall through

Like Arum and Fury risk a 100 mill pay out against either PBC fighter

For legacy it would be a great fight, and I am always for highly ranked guys fighting each other so therefore I would be a big supporter of a Fury vs Ruiz bout.

It would have the potential to be a complete 12-0 snoozer however with Fury circling the ring and jabbing Andy's head off. Highlighting Andy's shortcomings. I doubt we would see Kronk Fury locked and loaded in this one.
