I haven't seen the fight yet. But based on previous fights. Paul Williams has a low connect rate and gets hit a lot. Angles are good, but they always take longer and Kelly can throw some pretty mean straights. Kelly also takes a punch better than most and Williams volume comes because he is throwing 'arm' punches. He is NOT overwhelming Pavlik with his work rate and tiring him out. Kelly has shown he can throw just as many.

I'm sorry, but Pavlik making the Espino fight for a fortnight later - combined with all of the dreadful, fantasy excuses he peddled after the Hopkins fight - lead me to doubt him nowadays. However, you may have noticed that I tip him to KO Williams spectacularly and almost certainly in the early rounds. I know he's a good fighter when his mentality is right. As well as possessing a questionable chin, Williams is very hittable and to me looks like the sort of boxer Pavlik could look extremely good against....if he took the fight, which I suspect is gone forever now.

Right. I think Martinez has fair power but he chooses to fight a like a slick boxer rather than a banger because as a slickster he takes much more advantage of his athletic ability, agility and savvy. It's the style that suits him best imo.

Just like everything about Paul Williams, ridiculously, his punch resistance too, is overrated. People are starting to clue in.

Williams may end up getting embroiled in a trilogy of some sort with Martinez after last since the rematch, which seems likely to happen, will prolly be at 154 for Martinez belt and I'm going with Martinez. This would actually be great for the fans.

I mean, who woudln't want to see last night's fight again which left more questions than it gave answers? Once again Martinez was on the receiveing end of US judges horrible scoring. Which other boxer has received back-to-back robberies like this guy has? KP will have to wait. . .maybe KP can man up and go for Bute or rematch Bhop while Martinez and PW conclude their business.

After drawing less than 3K at the gate, Goosen said a Pavlik fight would only be made for a 50/50 split. For Pavlik's three belts none the less? Quack....

If somebody says they didn't see it, fine, but Winky F'ing Wright was bothering Williams with his punches.

Really? I thought Winky got discouraged and started giving up when he landed flush and nothing happened? We thinking of the same fight?

We are indeed. Watch it again if you're genuinely curious. The whole fight. This is what I saw, and I don't tend to see things that aren't there. Not in my mind, AAA. Especially things that would seem unlikely. It's much easier to not see things that are unlikely, if you catch my drift..

I really don't know if I could force myself to watch that one again to be honest.

williams chin is still fire... the 1st round was a perfect shot... nothing more nothing less

lets not act like you lose cred for getting knocked down

margarito, mosley, arguably (floyd) have all tasted the canvas before
