The winner by knock-out victory...

    This is what the announcer says at the end of any fight that ends in a knockout. But it doesn't make sense.

    A victory is a win. So it's like saying:

    The winner by knock-out win, Shane Mosely!

    You win by a knockout; you don't win by winning. So let's get it right and say:

    The winner by a knock-out.... :bbb

    The Irish ones usually say "Winner by Knockout in the second round" or "Winner by Technical Knockout" etc.
