I think he is too big for May and that is what would make it an interesting challenge. I think it was a good business move for Canelo to stay off that card and play second fiddle.
It did put Canelo in a much more powerful negotiating stance. Furthermore, it likely harmed Showtime's boxing budget which will limit what they can pay Oscar. Great move for Canelo and likely good news for HBO.
Exactly, and truth be told, Canelo is already a star. The nonsense posted above that nobody outside of Mexicans know who he is, is bull****.
Unfortunately this will end up like Pac. The 'tease' of the fight is enough to get people interested and you don't actually need to do the fight.
he is 22 years old douche bag if you want to play that game floyd was 28, 29 before DLH let him be on his first ppv card as a main event. nice try
atsch Wow...lamest excuse of the day. BTW, does being a 3X women beater excuse you from working with pricks? :huh
There were only like 2 or 3 of them, but still there was no where near the promotion that May Day got. All that ain't cheap either mane.
canelo is the 1 acting like he dont need mayweather so let him build his own brand then. hell with em
Outside of Trout he really hasn't fought a live body, and some say Trout won. Personally I like Canelo, have been touting Canelo as a star, and will continue to support him but I disagree with your premise generally speaking.
