Lifting is very important if you know what your doing. It's NOT the most important thing....The most important thing *IN LIFE* is experience. Through experience you learn everything. As far as boxing goes it would be experience, and tecnique. You can have all the power, speed, endurance in the world, but if you don't know how to properly use it...Doesn't mean anything. Personally whenever I train I shoot for the whole package (size, strength, muscularity, endurance, speed, etc). I workout 5 days a week. One week I go heavier, the next week lighter with weights. I lift pretty much all 5 days, but if I'm boxing/ martial arts I cut back some of the lifting. I swim 3 times a week, work abs at least 5 days a week, only run once (bad for you IMO), I go to a martial arts gym 3 times a week, and practice a little tecnique everyday. Also, stretch before, and after every workout. Anything in life can be used to benefit you if you know how to use it properly...Or it can seriously hurt you if you don't.
