How long until Berto might take a quick nap?

 

I was dead wrong but I still liked what I saw from Yordan. Had the heart and will to go to the top, he just needs to work on the inside. There was ample enough time for him to throw hooks downstairs and upstairs in the clinch but he seemed content to just hold on instead. He needs to up his work rate a little bit, but at 22 he still has time.

Good performance from Cab.

What the hell! Yordan was never in danger of being stopped besides the knockdown, what was Larry crying about?

 

They were acting like it was Calzaghe/Lacy where Calaghe genuinely was clapping the shite out of him. Nothing of the sort in this fight. Once Yordan tightened his defences and restricted his work-rate he blocked a lot upstairs. He took a lot downstairs but it obviously didn't distress him too much because he came forward. Caballero didn't sit down enough on his punches to really hurt the guy, not sure why.

I would have let him go 12 if I was in his corner.

Yeah but when you're winning like 6 or 7 rounds to nil and a guy at your mercy its time to think about upping it surely...

He looked to trouble Yordan early when he punched with his body but just arm punched away for the entire distance. He could have sacrificed 40 punches per round at the end and actually look for a stoppage. I'm nitpicking but...he left himself open to that dodgy moment in the last round unneccessarily, you don't want to keep a Juanma Lopez in the fight.

 

Botha has run out of steam..

 

Wow, Berto looks much less top heavy these days.
