In the couple of years I've been posting here, I've learnt a lot from many knowledgeable posters about boxing history, which I'm very appreciative of, and have enjoyed discussing the sport and getting different views that have made me reconsider my own thoughts on a variety of topics.

But I've also learnt that there are some people here who simply can't be reasoned with no matter how hard you try. In that spirit, welcome to the World according to Ra's Al-Ghul!

Below are some of the apparently sincerely held beliefs of this poster (I wish I was making these up):

    1. All threads in Classic should state whether they are talking about professional boxing.
Even though almost all the threads are exclusively about professional boxing, we should assume that they are obviously referring to amateur and professional boxing. This allows me to name as many amateur fighters as possible in a thread discussion about pro boxers. I will then plead ignorance at why this might be ridiculous and will argue that it should have been labelled in the thread. It also allows me to mix people like Teofilio Stevenson with equal weighting to someone like Muhammad Ali in lists of the greatest heavyweights of all time.

    2. The WBO title that has been around all the way back to the late 1980s holds as much historical value as a unified WBC and WBA world title from the 1960s.
There is no difference. Believing this gives weight to obscure Europeans holding minor 'world' titles and allows me to rank them absurdly high in all-time p4p rankings.

    3. We should ignore the standard calendar that everybody in the Western World follows and interpret dates through the calendar according to the German mathmetician Adam Reis.
When I get a date wrong and am corrected by a poster, I can spout this view and that all the dates referring to boxing history that you thought were facts are actually wrong because you don't understand time. Or me.

    4. Artur Grigorian is the 6th greatest lightweight of all time.
    No explanation required.

    5. Anyone who disagrees with me is biased and nationalistic and it is not me who is those things.
I am never wrong, everybody else is and I'm confused why you don't understand this. It's definitely not me that is the problem.

Any other 'Ra's Logic' classics appreciated.

Brilliant post which encapsulates this absurd moron who is never wrong and whom everyone is against.
Its like trying to debate with Captain Queeg in the Caine Mutiny!

On the top 10 all time middleweight contender thread, you eventually got round to asking him if he regarded Papp as one of the top 10.
He concluded that Papp was the best.

I always enjoy how he pleads ignorance: so and so fought at 140....”he didn’t fight when he was a 140 years old?” What are lbs? I don’t know what that means?

He has some knowledge but he is irrational, at times. Some sort of insecurity shows its head at times when he is challenged. Maybe, like Foxy before him, it can somewhat be chalked up to advanced age.

Morlocks is untouchable in terms of quality and having a good time

I would add Houdini and the infamous troll BlackHercules/Farooq/CarlChilders/ThePainMan

I guess you missed his rants against me regarding my being a Saad fan.

It was like he was insecure that someone else could have intricate knowledge of Saad Muhammad.

Also, he even accused me of being Mark Ant.

I guess he could have been trolling, but I have my doubts.

Even, if it was trolling, it was quite bizarre.

Morlocks messes around alot, ik I once compared Hearns to Monzon and he went off about how it was blasphemy. He also once pressured RoughDiamond into posting a video of himself in an amateur bout

Ultimately I don't think any long term problems came of these?

He's either trolling or easily triggered.

    It is what it is.

He's the Bert Sugar of Classic, sure he may have some bad takes and extremism but at the end of the day he knows his stuff about boxing, and he's hilarious. "Leave the old man be" I say

I think we all have our bad takes, even the top shelf posters like Janitor
