Yeah you do. Wladimir only fought two IBF mando over the course of 4 years before Tyson Fury took it off him.

The IBF will do whatever they want to do.

But but but , the rules say

No , the rules are made up on a day to day basis.

That's not the WBA statement. That is a newspaper article.

    This is the WBA statement.

Wake me up when you find the words "in the spring" anywhere in there.

And let me know when you see the IBF announcing they are letting Joshua fight Wlad INSTEAD of their mandatory. The IBF is notably absent in all these articles.

The IBF mandatory challenger - Parker - has just vacated his mandatory spot to go and fight for the WBO world title. This suggests to me that the IBF will have at least one more eliminator to find out who should take Parker's place.

They may, although they tend to go for the "next available contender" to avoid delays.

And the next available in the IBF are Pulev, Haye and Duhaupas, in that order.

Why would a WBA statement mention the IBF? Hearn said they sanctioned it and he's ready to go . Thats all there is to it.

The spring date will be organised by the promoters. The governing bodies don't put the fights together. Thats what promoters do , they promote.

Oh I see now. So it was because there was a rematch clause or something? Just wondering why the law gets involved in the making of this match and not others.

I think because they tried to ignore Oquendo's rematch clause and Oquendo decided to fight them in court over it so as he could impose it.
