Okay, I will address the thread topic. The "World" did not have Mayweather losing to Castillo. It was a close fight which could have been scored either way in my opinion. I personally had Mayweather eking out a narrow decision but don't have a problem with people that had Castillo winning. Secondly, I don't think it would have changed a thing. Mayweather would have won the rematch, like he did, and he would have went on to have exactly the same career. I don't see the "cherry-picking" to preserve his "0" like some do.

No it was not close fight. You got to be blind to say it was close fight.
Castillo clearly won the fight. It was far, far from close. Castillo landed more overall punches and significantly more power shots.
This was 1 of the 2 or 3 Floyd gifted decision.

I had Mayweather winning the first five rounds. In order for Castillo to win a decision, since there were no knockdowns or 10-8 rounds, it had to be a close fight in my eyes. I appreciate the fact that you saw the fight differently.

Mayweather Castillo I and II disprove the ridiculous and silly notion that Mayweather is a ducker or afraid to lose. Here's a guy who eeked out a close decision in fight one. He could've took the win and ran and never even gave Castillo a second thought, and instead he gives him an immediate rematch. Those areb't the actions of a coward.

Had he been given the L against Castillo in their first fight, he would be 48-1 with a highly controversial defeat which he immediately avenged.
