It's a pretty funny video that. I saw another one which I found interesting though in with Barry Hearn claims he always thought Eddie was going overboard with Carl and that he thought Quigg was the better fighter all along.

Now whether that is the Hearns trying to backtrack I don't know but it would certainly be interesting to hear more of what Barry thinks of the current match room stable.

Do you mean Eddie really thought Scott was better (and was just spoofing about favouring Carl?)

(or are you referring to Barry himself thinking Scott was better)

Barry (eddies dad) whilst frampton and mcguigan was rubbing shoulders with eddie and eddie was singing framptons praises was always of the opinion that quigg was always the better fighter.

They've both (and Santa Cruz) ducked Rigondeaux. Lets not pretend that anything other than all three of them having their ears boxed off happens if they did face him.

But its Quigg who has had a duty to face him.
Quigg has been Rigos mando for literally years - years!
Quigg above all others is culpable for Rigos predicament.
Thats the point.

Maybe so, but a duck is a duck. Rigondeaux offered to go to Belfast and fight Frampton, and he shat himself just like Quigg and Santa Cruz did. Lets not pretend that one has the moral high-ground over the other here, they've all ducked Rigondeaux - and who can blame them? They'd all be sorely outclassed.

FWIW - I think Frampton either UDs Quigg or stops him late on.

Absolutely spot on. :good

Exactly the reason why Quigg and Frampton chose to fight each other instead of Rigo.

FWIW, i'm pretty sure Quigg will take the fight should he come through the Frampton fight, Carl and the Wee Fella on the other hand will insist Carl has weight issues, and run to 126 like LSC did.

It was Eddie's father Barry I was referring too. Barry has claimed that he always rated Scott as the better, more accomplished fighter.

I think he even went as far as to say that "swapping Carl Frampton for Scott Quigg was in his opinion the best bit of business Eddie had done". I'll try and dig out the video.

Edit: here's the video, four minutes in Barry goes off on one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HhNftH9l-k

How is getting rid of a guy who is easily selling out Belfast better than someone who nobody cares about in Manchester?? Only acceptable reason for Hearn getting rid of Frampton is that he couldn't work with mcguigan, saying he's got the better one is a ****ing joke, no way would Frampton fight as low down on the order as quigg did for bellend clev 2

5.15 in, you aren't going to get Martinez. One of Edwards finest moments
