The worst boxing fans in Britain...

    I asked in another thread about whose fans spt on Joe Calzaghe, & it got me wondering.

    Certain fighters or certain places attract a loutish element to their fights, so what Im asking is who holds the mantle of worst boxing fans in Britain? Personal experiences & tales would be good also.

    IMO, Tony Oakeys fans were the worst I have seen on TV in the recent past, I wouldnt have liked to have been a fan of the away fighter at one of his fights.

    I was at Scott Gammer's debut in Swansea, there was a bit of rucking going on down there, I remember Mike Goodall on the mic pleading for them to stop fighting.

    Dont worry pal, it isnt a loaded question. If anyone says Scotland then thats fine, cos its an honest question about peoples experiences in boxing of fans gone bad all around the UK. No national bias from me here.

    Scotland has had its nights of fan mayhem, just like everywhere else.

    When Oakey was THE World champion a few years ago it always used to make me laugh to watch his inbred low IQ supporters on tv 'doing' the OakeyCokey on his way to the ring. Remember that it was in Portmouth that a paedotrician was victimized, as the thickest population in the UK didn't know the difference between the aforementioned healthcare professional and a child abuser!! You couldn't make it up!!!

    lol add to that the fact that he got banned for using the old 'Cokey' and you have zelenoff type hilarity though obviously he can fight a bit.

    Junior Witter's fans are terrible.

    Also Kevin Mitchell's missus is a pain - then again, if he was fighting in front of a packed arena you may not be able to hear!
