Wow! I've never seen such running and holding before. What a richly deserved KO. Reminds me of Foreman vs Young, except Foreman never got his. Heard about Hopkins vs Hakkar but never bothered to look for it.
As was Gavin vs Skeete, Gavin vs Price. Even after all the chances he got, he still believed he was not a one dimensional fighter.
Tbf Gavin redeemed himself with his display against Eggington which was easily one of the best non-PPV main event fights Matchroom have put on since Eddie Hearn got involved with boxing. Gavin took a battering but still fought his heart out and never quit. This content is protected Round 6 (timestamped) was one of the rounds of the year.
if you go by how much the public paid for the amount of boredom the fighters doled out over their career no one competes with Mayweather Jr. & Wlad. the biggest con artists in boxing history. At least Wlad grew a pair when he fought Joshua. Mayweather never did, probably because he doesn't actually have a pair. as far as individual boring fights in all of boxing there's too many nearly tied for first to accept the monotonous task of separating them.
Akinwande-Lewis immediately comes to mind. I'm sure there are others if I thought about it. But for so much to be on the line and Akinwande an undefeated HW challenger, huuuuge disappointment.
Bellew Cleverley 2 Clev had a sleep against the ropes for most of the fight whilst Bellew rubbed up and down against him.
I still say Banks was given a briefcase of cash in a dark alley because that was one of the most purposely pedestrian performances I've ever seen
