Yeah this was a pretty pathetic attempt to inject excitement into a very boring affair. Besides that it was obviously very out of charecter for lampley.
hahah good one. That was unbelievable ballsack-licking he wouldn't give Hopkins any props and kept praising Tito for 'coming forward'
biased, ignorant ****. i listened to his bull**** on the "facing ali" dvd...guys a ***** who may know medicine, but talks out of his ass about boxing
Hopkins vs Trinidad was hilarious, especially the end how Foreman seemed completely stupid. My vote easily goes for Hatton vs Tszyu, the British commentator alongside the quiet good Australian commentator. That British commentator should have his balls removed immediately for such a pathetic display. All the OBVIOUS shameless cheating Hatton put on the guy would yell at like it's pure skill, the intentional headbutts, elbows, rabbit punching, combinations to the back of the head, low blows, shoving, holding whenever he desired and everything else you can think of the guy would scream like a thousand bitches on their periods. The worst was when Hatton landed that low blow intentionally and clearly he instantly screamed "TSZYU KNOCKED DOWN!!!" when seconds before that an unintentional punch which was more of a real body shot in my view dropped Hatton he screamed "LOW BLOW!!!" as soon as it landed. What's worse is I don't even know the guy's name.
I don't mind most of the HBO crew. I actually enjoy Bob Papa more lately, he's pretty good overall. Lampley does hang on some fighters' nuts though. Merchant typically only likes fighters that are come-forward.
i don't mind biased commenting, we're all fans after all. but some guys won't give ANY credit where it's due
that low blow remains one of my favourite punches in history. hatton wound up and dove in. like he knew he wasn't going to get penalized for it and didn't give a ****
George Foreman: "Tonight the referee is going to be the most important man in the ring besides the two fighters."
Big George comes out with some absolute **** sometimes. One of the lines that sticks with me is, I think, when Lewis was fighting Tua, and they made mention of the similarities between Tua and Tyson (some word inaprticular that George obviously had no idea what it was). Someone says "whats your thoughts george?", there's a massive silence, then Foreman says "... this is lennox lewis". ******.
