    Haye's toe
Juan Manuel Lopez accusing the referee of having a gambling problem
Holyfield blaming any subpar performance on some random injury or ailment he never mentioned before the fight

It's his last fight of his career and he'd live to do it in his home country...

    what's wrong with that?

If Haye has a legit problem fighting their because of racist death threats, then it should be moved. I'd feel the same way he would. It's not like he wants it in the UK or even a neutral country. He's offering to fight in Germany.

It's like Sergio telling Chavez, I don't want to fight in Meixco because of death threats from Mexicans there, but I'll fight in Texas

The toe excuse is hard to beat. I mean, it just doesn't make sense on any level.

It would be bad enough to just blame the loss on the bad toe, worse still to actually whop it out straight after the fight. But stand on top of a table at a press conference and show off your little pinky to the world's media :rofl

You don't talk for years about how you're going to do everything short of killing this guy when you finally get in the ring with him, only blame your little toe when it turns out he was better than you thought.

    Other honorable mentions:
    - Pac being weakened by having blood taken prior to Morales
    - Pac wearing the wrong socks against Morales
    - Povetkin claiming that Huck smelt so bad he couldn't perform properly
    - Khan blaming his losses on 'a silly mistake that WE made'

    I could go on forever

"he's not worthy to fight me" - Sven Warddke about a guy he said 3 weeks earlier the winner of Super6 must face next,a guy who was longer than him a champion and with more title fights than him.his moronic fans were cheering this statement, even tho he had the chance to unify all major belts and become legend.

My health come first . When did a fighter ever was afraid for his health :patsch. If you're a fighter and you're concern about your health then it's time to do something else.

There's been lot of pathetic excuses in boxing history, but Roy Jones' ¨I lost on purpose because I didn't want to give my dad any credit¨ probably takes the cake.

honorable mention for Pac's socks and Haye's toe story
