7-5 either way or a draw for me. both fighters won 5 clear rounds each imo with the other 2 going either way. i think people are forgetting that boxing is scored by the round and not by the fight as a whole, if it was scored that way then yeah macklin beat that ass. but strum won most of the second half of the fight. 8-4 is a joke though
****in' whining limey's. **** off. You've got some nerve talking about germany's corruption. If your fighter lands a clean punch the british ref's calls the fight off in favor of the brit. As bad as germany is, england's worse. As for the USA, we're not much to talk on either. A fighter named mike dallas jr won 7,8 rounds to 2,3 against some cholo in his home state and got jobbed on all "3" judges cards on friday night fights last night, so Booooohoohooo.
Yeah that´s why the guy who does the scores foe skye had it 114-114 and said that some rounds were really close and could easily have gone to Sturm.

Ye because he was factoring in Kraut bull****. They said some of those rounds could've gone to Sturm because 'this is Germany after all'.
1 of the 3 guys for sky scored it a draw the other 2 former world champions Richie Woodhall and Johnny Nelson both thought Macklin won it by 2 or 3 rounds.
The bog hopper (Macklin) deserved to win. I had him up by two points. However the worst decision in Germany was what they did to Lebedev against Huck. Denis won 9-10 rounds of that fight.
Average champ against a standard contender, its not a very big fight. Macklin landed some good shots and was busy and Sturm looked awful, wasn't a night for sublime boxing skills. Ten title defences and 1 former world champ, who was a nobody. Sturm's not exactly pushing himself. Was watching the Martinez/ Pavlik/ Williams fights not long ago and they have this things at SMW called the Super Six tournament. Sturm just content to milk the title, he picks contenders out of the hat, no one to much trouble. I'm gearing up for Ward vs Froch.
A robbery? Come the **** off it, it was anything but. It was a close fight, didn't score it but it was closer to a draw in my eyes. It was a great fight and hats off to Macklin, but ain't no way that was a robbery and it's ridiculous to say so. Quite frankly, I'm impressed one of the judges gave it to Macklin. Still though, 116-112 is disappointing to say the least.
