I think you're probably in the majority. No robbery imo

Alfredo Escalera Vs Tyrone Everette makes Rios-Abril look a fair decision.

A clear fix took place that night.

No chance. It was slightly controversial at worst.

  8. I thought Sturm beat Murray 7-5, Murray landed more but there was a lot of flurrying going on, whereas all the hard shots were landed by Sturm.

    I'd say....

    Cox vs Sai
    Williams vs Lara
    Helenius vs Chisora
    Cloud vs Campillo
    Rios vs Abril
    Holyfield vs Lewis
    Pacquiao vs Marquez III
    Alexander vs Matthysse
    Alexander vs Kotelnik

I'm still not sure Pacquiao/Marquez III was that bad. I scored it a draw at the time and plenty of respected people also had it level or to Manny. Of course the majority seemed to have Marquez but I can definitely see why Pac got the decision.

Whereas for Chisora/Helenius, Abril/Rios, Campillo/Cloud etc, there is no reason other than blatant corruption.

Out of that list only one of them fights was held in the UK and the rest America, Interesting.:think

  12.

I had Marquez 9-3.... Pac was pretty poor in all honesty and was hit a lot (again) and never really got his combinations working.

For me it was a pretty easy fight to score.

There's only one reason Pac got that decision, and the fight still hasn't been made. They'd have been better scoring it fairly and having a 4th fight.

I'd not noticed that until you replied.... obviously now Dave Parris has retired to his ten bedroom Bermuda chateau a lot more 6x3's will be going the right way.....

I don't think we see all that many blatant rip off jobs here, with the pre-completed 115-113 x 3 cards, we just see one judge who's absolutely way off (usuall IJL), another who's maybe a bit close for comfort and usually John Keane with pretty much the right scorecard.

How IJL is at the top level of officiating in boxing I've no idea. He's like those pre-programmed idiots who are just pointing to the penalty spot every time Ashley Young loses his footing.

The worst I have ever seen was Qawi-Ocasio

Qawi won all 10 rounds & Ossie had a point deduction for excessive holding. However Don King was setting Ocasio up for a shot at Holyfield & was awarded a MD. Genuinely horrific & far, far worse than Lara-Williams, Cloud-Campillo, Helenuis-Chisora & Abril-Rios.

    Listen to the crowd :-(

I'm a big Pacquiao fan, and wanted him to knock Marquez out. I had it 7-5 Marquez, giving EVERY close round to Pacquiao. It could feasibly be scored 10-2 IIRC

  15. I'll watch that later.

I'm amazed that these kind of decisions are still taking place, bearing in mind the availability of footage and what not.

It's much easier to brush things under the carpet when only two men and a dog saw the fight....

Plus, some of the fighters receiving these questionable decisions aren't even that good, it's not just an off night, they're basically average.
