No your right thinking about it, you always expect the home fighter to get the nod over here if its close but that happens in every country. We make up for it with bull**** early stoppages though, that's terrible over here, I understand its about safety and all that but come on, there boxers FFS. IJL is a disgrace, I was at the Dallas v Page fight and after witnessing Dallas clearly losing, I knew he would still get the nod because that creature was scoring it. Everybody in the building knew Dallas lost, local boy or not.
Dallas vs Page was bad yeah.... atsch I remember seeing a few dodgy ones on the Murray vs McAllister card a couple of years ago - I think both lads that ''lost'' were from the Ingle gym, and after the 2nd one Dominic Ingle just stood there with his mouth wide open, couldn't even shake his head. Yeah, the ref nearly raised Mayweather's arm, nearly as bad as the Jones one 8 years earlier. Holyfield suffered a bad one too.
I think people have misunderstood the OP. It's meant to be "The worst robberies of all time", not "Close decisions that didn't go the way you wanted, in the last couple of years"
Funeka v Guzman 1 that was pretty bad, I thought Funeka dominated the fight and it was scored a draw.
This is where boxing fails, surely if there was a main governing body they could step in and order an immediate rematch or overturn a decision as bad as the rios one?
^ I'm not sure Dilks vs Adamu was that bad either. Well, the decision wasn't, the fight was perhaps the most tedious I've ever had the misfortune to witness. 114-114 would be about right, obviously 0-0 isn't a realistic option, is it?
