as long as he stops holding the WBC belt hostage, I have no problem with Cotto not wanting anything to do with GGG

172 is LHW, so no, Ward wasn't a SMW last time out, and until he fights again at that weight he is a LHW

I'll ask again, when has Ward ever sold 15 tickets in a week? he is also a weightclass bigger (at least) than Golovkin, and doesn't bring enough money to tempt GGG to put on 8 lbs of muscle (which he will have real trouble shedding in the future should he wish to go back to 160,) and fight him at 168

I have no problem GGG fighting Ward, but only when:
    1) he has cleaned out 160 and has unified the division
    2) Ward gets at least 1-2 meaningful fights after 2 years out of the ring
    3) GGG won't go back to 160 again after putting on 7-8 lbs of muscle and strain his body for no good reason

Cotto changed a long time ago when he was forced to quit against Margo. How many disabled people has he fought since then? He can say anything he wants but when he can't hurt his opponent or his opponent hurts him he loses all his mental strength.

That's another issue I have with him at this time.

Cotto and Canelo have both been matched tough during their respective careers. Cotto has been in the ring with Mayweather, Pacquiao, Mosley, Judah, Margarito and Martinez. Canelo has been in the ring with Mayweather, Trout, and Lara. So I have no reason to bash Canelo or Cotto because they BOTH have been in the ring with some stiff opposition.

Exactly WHO has the Triple Duck been in the ring with?

Cotto already made it blatantly clear he wants no part of GGG but Canelo seems open to the idea.

A fight between GGG and Canelo(should they both clear their next hurdle) would more than likely be the biggest fight in boxing, promoters would be salivating at the po$$ibilitie$.

So GGG doesn't care about the big paydays he could potentially have should he land a bout with Cotto or Canelo?

Either way, I think Cotto and Canelo both have more political clout with the WBC than does Gennady.

    Yeah.

It's beginning to look like Ward or nothing for Team Triple Duck.

    LOL...

So exactly what does it prove if Team Triple Duck beats up whatever TOMATO CAN the WBC mandates for their vacant trinket?

Not sure that it would be anywhere near as big as rematches between Floyd and Pac and/or Floyd and the Cotto/Canelo winner. Those would both be bigger fights - and by a considerable margin I'd think.

let me guess, the other is making ridiculous demands like catchweights and who walks into the ring second (Martinez fight)? :think

Your posts are getting SOGgy. Why are you and Ward so obsessed with
a fighter one div below who at this point seems to be looking at some
very understandable lucrative options in his div? Ward should get a life of his own and stop trying to sponge of GGG's rep.

So who says he would have to bulk up 8 pounds to fight Ward @ 168? This is what I don't get - you GolovIdiots have no problem with Mayweather, a natural 140lb'er, going up to 154 to fight Bumlovkin - but see no reason why Bumlovkin should do the same to fight Ward.

Floyd doesn't gain weight to fight @ 154. His fighting weight @ 154 is the same as it is when he fights @ 147. Why can't Bumlovkin, the alleged "P4P top 10 fighter", do the same?

    You haven't answered the question, Genius. I'll ask again;

Exactly WHO has the Triple Duck been in the ring with?
