Crisco, so the only path for GGG is fighting Ward? Isn't Ward planning on doing two more tuneups (probably at 172+)? How about you give us the plan for GGG's career to satisfy whatever demands you have for him. Please be specific.

It's not personal opinion...ward said he's open to the fight...or at least was a couple of months ago....till ggg ran straight for lemieux.......wards next fight will prob be nearer to 175....ward has said he's going there.......but if ggg wanted to book ward b fore lemieux Andre would have taken it and made 168......he fought under 172 for smith

Do you know what the mandatory challenger means? It means having the right to challenge the title-holder. And if the titleholder is fighting the guy who was just KOd by the mandatory challenger instead of the mandatory challenger himself and you're pausing for a minute when you hear his name, you're ducking.

Ah, I see, so if you fight a couple of good fighters you get a free pass to duck anyone, denying someone like GGG the opportunity to face a good opponent, but then you bash GGG for getting that opportunity denied. Gotta love it.

 

If Martinez, Cotto and Canelo (and Quillin) were willing to face GGG in the first place, maybe we would have gotten that Ward fight by now, don't you guys realize it?

 

Of course GGG would't fight the winner whoever thinks he is knows nothing about boxing. The WBC if Canelo wins won't force the fight they want Canelo as their champ. Canelo will either seek a rematch with Cotto seek a rematch with PBF or take soft touches.

If Cotto is the winner Cotto will retire do a Canelo rematch or a PBF rematch. He will vacate rather than face GGG. The WBC won't also stand in the way of a rematch with Canelo or a PBF fight but will strip him for anything else.

The point is GGG isn't getting a fight with the winner especially if it's Cotto and not Canelo for atleast 2 more years so therefore he's wasting his time at 160 and at 33 going on 34 should think about other options or he might end up like Khan did waiting around forever for PBF. But atleast Khan has good options at 147 unlike GGG at 160
