Given how much Scott Harrison put his body through the wringer with chronic alcohol abuse, it will never cease to amaze me that he achieved what he did.
I always bring this up. 99% of people buying his unworthy PPVs for back to back plodding, lacklustre defeats would say they don’t like domestic abuse but knowingly pay for his retirement. Bellew is up his arse despite me hearing him say more than once about him hating violence against women or whatever. He also idolises Tyson but most people don’t have good principles and have double standards as and when they see fit.
Being one of the 99% I'm Guilty as charged mate....no one's perfect. Stones and glass houses... I'd like to hear from the 1%....
I think part of the issue is that these are powerfully built men who don't like taking the answer of "No" from people, predominantly women, who are smaller than them. Their pea brains can't cope with the information overload, their ego is threatened and thus they lash out as it is all they know. Not excusing Chisora, Sexton, etc. But muscly roided men with below average IQs isn't a great mix. You see it all the time out on civvy street. Dickheads we call them.
I agree mate but hitting women is seen as the lowest of the low. It’s like the in thing to say it now without people knowing he facts but they let it slide for some big idiot who doesn’t deserve it.
I know mate, I'm absolutely against violence or even bad verbal/mental abuse towards women. It's something I've never done or even thought about doing. It's just some of us as boxing fans tend to forget or simply don't think about it ( I know I do). It's always easier to slate a fighter if you don't personally like them. A couple of very big names that spring to mind for this is type of thing is FMJ and Mike Tyson. Now I'm not a fan of FMJ and I don't like him much as a person but still used to watch his fights. I alway's liked Tyson though as a fighter. Even after his release from prison I still tuned in to watch his fights, and coughed up for the PPV many times. I think there's some hypocrisy in all of us to a degree.
As we all know out very own Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua was the Tony Montana of Watford prior to becoming an Olympic Gold medallist.
