This year was another great year for boxings.....a number of boxers showed the world what they are made off, other revindicated themselves afer dissapointed losses, other self-proclaim greatness got eclipse by the more humble but tougher boxer, the heavyweights division remained a yawn....and the lower weights kept us busy with great matches...

Among the great performances of the year:

    Joe Calzaghe
    BHop
    Pacquiao
    Margarito

the biggest dissapointments- Kelly Pavlik and Miguel Cotto, PBF retirement....

    Collision course:

    Pacquiao v. PBF..or Pacquiao v. Hatton
    Vazquez v Juan Ma
    Margarito v. PW at 154
    Pavlik v. Abraham

    Resurgence....Daniel Santos

    Overhyped: RJJ, ODLH

    underhyped: Paquiao, Chad Dawson

the oldest boxers in a division: LHW

    the youngest: SFW

Performance of the year: Joe Calzaghe, BHop

Fight of the year: Cotto v. Margarito

biggest upset: PW v. Quintana I

    unnoticed champ- Arthur Abraham

Although Orish I will argue Pavlik is overlooked. His only lost came at 170. Where he is not good at all.

Now that he was beat, people are saying he will lose to this guy, that guy. Blah blah. He's the champion at 160 and never been beat there.

I like Pavlik, but he showed multiple flaws against BHop, given that was against BHop, but yet lateral movement seems to be his downfall...we will see..I want to see AA and KP.....

I feel above 160 he's just not the same. Slower, reacts a bit slower as well.

Against Taylor and Hopkins he just did not look the same. Sluggish a bit. Although Hopkins exploited that as well, Im nto taking anything away from him. A great performance by him.

Not only a bad lost, but one that could derail him progress as a boxer....

I will check the KP thread....give me the link....

It's possible. He shouldn't rush the rematch. They should put himn in there with someone similar to Margo not this Jennings guy.

The KP was a post in this thread you responded already.
