You said you wanted a thread to talk about fighters on this platform. I took you at your word and tried to engage you in a discussion. Now you want to run away because I happened to pick a fighter who you can’t defend as good and you’d rather it not be discussed.

    Proof you’re a shill.

If Povetkin and Adamek somehow pull the upset, should Povetkin return to Russia, ignore the rematch clause with Joshua, tell Joshua to get in line, ignore the lawsuits, and defend his titles against Adamek in Moscow?

I’ll give you a reasoned opinion on Adamek.

It’s true that Adamek is being used v Miller because....

    (A) He sells tickets to a large Polish population in Chicago
    (B) He still has name value
    (C) He still commands a high boxrec ranking
    (D) He will be massively outsized and will suffer a beat down unless he scores a Hail Mary which is highly unlikely as he has never been a puncher especially at heavyweight

Adamek is a keep busy fight for Miller but when the current climate has provided AJ v Povetkin and Parker,Hughie Fury v Pulev,Whyte v Browne and Parker,Chisora v Takam,Wilder v Ortiz and Tyson Fury? etc etc within the last 6 months or so then expectations are understandably higher.

Adamek hasn’t ever been a force at heavyweight,he was an exciting light heavyweight and had success at cruiser v O Neil Bell and Steve Cunningham, but his success’s at heavyweight have largely depended on his workrate, heart and desire (of which he has bucketloads) and some dubious hometown judging.
He engineered a run of victories which cemented him as a top 5 heavyweight about 6 years ago now,his oppprtunity came in a football stadium back home v Vitali Klitschko where he was slowly beat down with relative ease from the by then arm punching Klitschko.
With the bubble burst and the realisation that he was undersized at heavy he was widely outpointed twice in succession by euro fringe contenders Glazkov and Szplika.
That was now 4 years ago and since then Thomasz has somehow limped on despite looking alarmingly ring worn.He still manages to command a box office platform in Poland but is feasting on ‘acceptable’ low level opposition like Joey Abell,Solomon Haumano and Fred Kassi. Most of us thought he was finally finished when he was one shotted by Eric Molina who is most famous for being horrendously out of his depth v Anthony Joshua and managing to land a half decent punch once on Deontay Wilder.

This fight is a horrible mismatch.Adamek is the exact type of fighter we should be trying to protect.A warrior who literally does not know when to quit,he will be painfully undersized v ‘Big Baby’ and even his normally high punch output should be dwarfed by the fresher, younger Miller. With Miller not being a big one punch artist we may be subjected to a painful watch and have to see a very public and very sad ending to a proud career.

This is like Michael Katsidis being brought over to fight Tommy Coyle or even Marco Antonio Barrera when he took a trip to fight Amir Khan at the end of his career.Battle weary warriors cherry picked because they are not physically capable anymore of dealing with younger but in many ways inferior prospects.

If Adamek makes it competitive I’ll eat my hat live on here.

Look, you guys are allowed to discuss whatever you want on here in regards to the sport of Boxing. So as long as you're not violating word filters, excessively trolling, slandering and harassing or threatening to kill or maim people, I'm cool with whatever you do. But... this site has its fair share of Arum fanboys, Haymon fanboys, Oscar fanboys and sickeningly enough even a Don King fanboy or two. Clearly now, Hearn has a slew of fanboys, I don't get it or understand these fixations or compulsions in the least, I tend to distrust most corporate CEO's or anyone with a high ranking job in a big business, especially the usually scummy types that get into the business of promoting fights and managing fighters careers. But others don't, they admire their business acumen, and savvy moves they make, especially in regards to their deals with channels or internet based streaming services, and the behind the scenes intramural wars, turf wars with competitors and overall palace intrigue.

Whether you like the idea of the rise of these streaming websites that you have to pay a monthly fee for, or not, personally I don't, I prefer Boxing remains on television, you can't deny their rise and their existence. ESPN+ and DAZN are kind of a big deal now, and are players for better or worse. And since Eddie Hearn is now making a play to break into the US market, with cross promotional cards with US fighters, DAZN and its scheduled matches are well worth discussing and worthy of a thread like this, since not everyone is up on streaming services or their content, so for the interested parties, this is a very informative worth while thread. So try to keep on topic and discuss all the matches and cards they have scheduled or rumored. After all, its not like HBO or Showtime hasn't had countless threads dedicated to discussing them.

All fair as long as we’re allowed to talk critically about DaysInn offerings here and whether it’s worth the fee. If it has to be a fanboi thread where no one can say “Adamek-Miller sucks and it’s not worth paying for,” I’m good.

As long as you understand it doesn't cost $9.99 to watch Miller v Adamek.....and it's an undercard fight!

That's like me saying it's not worth $80 to watch Lemieux v Spike.

Wait a minute — YOU are the one who let’s keep this thread about the topic of fights on DaysInn, NOT about the ‘politics’ — like whether it offers as much as other promotions or price points or whatnot — THE FIGHTS.

I’m commenting on the fight and YOU bring up a fight on another card and the price. So stop whining about people posting those things if you aren’t going to stick to the topic.

I understand that Eddie could and should have made a more competitive fight for his marquee Matchroom USA heavyweight for the DaysInn debut in the U.S. He’s rolling out his first card in America with nothing better than anyone can see on Fox or ESPN on a random night.

The fight is in Chicago. It’s well understood that Adamek is on the card to be the local focal point of the promotion, unlike Spike vs. Lemieux ... and that fight is a heck of a lot better than Big Belly Miller vs. Shot to Pieces Adamek.

It’s pathetic, really, but indicative of the kind of thing UK fans lap up when it’s served to them. Here, we know it’s garbage and say so.

Why in the world are you so fixated on this one fight? You do understand the rest of the card is not only pretty competitive but should be entertaining don't you? Vargas vs Dulorme, Beterbiev vs Johnson & (the main event imo Daniel Roman vs Gavin McDonnell. That's 3 really good fights besides the one mismatch, are you trying to say Arum, King, Haymon, Showtime, ESPN or HBO have never never made or aired a mismatch or showcase fight? Have you seen some of the mismatches ESPN+ has picked up so far? To me, Joshua vs Povetkin, Roman vs McDonnell, Beterbiev vs Johnson & Vargas vs Delorme is worth my $9.99 for this month, even if that includes a squash match. It just seems like you're being a touch hypocritical, Showtime a service which costs just as much a DAZN just aired Wilder vs Stiverne II as a main event not even a year ago. Stiverne was shot to pieces, hell he almost needed help and a oxygen mask to to walk the isle and climb in the ring. My point is, these type of matches are a thing in the sport, for better or worse, whether they suck or not, and everybody HBO, Showtime, ESPN, Arum, Haymon etc does them. So you keep using this 1 fight as a reasonable (in your view) deterrent doesn't holdup. That is unless you are this vocal about people canceling their subscriptions to HBO or Showtime, or boycotting Arum, Haymon etc cards and platforms they show them on when they make the same kind of fights.

It's a mandatory defence. There isn't a rematch clause son.

    Just stop.

We can all see what you're doing.

I've already claimed that Miller v Adamek is a complete mismatch.

But you've wrongly claimed that it costs $9.99 to watch Miller v Adamek, which is wrong on two levels.

    1. It actually costs $9.99 per month, not per fight on an undercard.

    2. This first month is completely free.

The main purpose of this thread is to inform people of the upcoming schedule, as it's a new platform and the members here may not be 100% aware of what is happening when.

I too have little to no interest in the Miller v Adamek one sided beatdown. But i'm well aware it's an undercard fight, on a 'Free' card.

Having not watched Farmer, what is it about Tennyson that you think he emerges with the win?

And Johnson beating Beterbiev would be a huge shock to me.
