I think Johnson beats him too, the guy's got fire and he believes he can win. This will be Beterbiev's first real threat imo. Jonson' s gonna bring the noise.

You're just a Matchroom fanboy who always picks the British fighter!

    Sounds an intriguing fight then!

And with Bivol contracted too, we could soon see a unification and Bivol beginning his P4P climb.

Because Farmer is thoroughly average and add to that he's a featherfist and doesn't deal with effective aggression very well. I scored Ogawa-Farmer for Ogawa, and Ogawa is completely average himself. He hasn't improved all that much from the fighter than Pedraza dominated and stopped. Tennyson is a heavy heavy handed mother****er and I rate his recent stoppage wins over Geraghty and especially Martin Joseph Ward over anything Farmer has accomplished, certainly more than his recent win over Dib. In fact I'd probably pick Ward to beat Farmer as well.

Callum Johnson is an absolute beast, and the most dangerous fighter Beterbiev has stepped in the ring with as a pro. He spoils well, and has a wicked counter left hook that Beterbiev has been susceptible to in the past. Johnson is rugged and seems very tough and handled Shihepo easier than Abraham at 168 and much easier than Cruiserweight KO machine Papin did recently at 200. His destruction of Buglioni was truly impressive, Frank had been on a rampage lately. If Beterbiev doesn't get him out of there early, and since I rate his skillset much higher than Koelling's, I doubt he will, Callum will have ample opportunity to take Artur out, who's chin isn't as solid as most people seem to think.

Will add all cards to OP, and the WBSS line ups for each division, once the dates are 100% confirmed.

That japan card looks a cracker.

Is there any word about who the Matchroom USA DAZN commentators will be? The Sky Sports team?

The dream would be Smith, Froch, Kellerman, Lampley and RJJ.

Smith can keep telling us 'It's a pick what you like fight'.....
Kellerman can stare into my eyes and inform me on why his opinion is the one I must share.....
Lampley can give RJJ 'Boxing advice'.....
And Froch can ask RJJ 'Have you ever boxed in front of 80,000?' on every show.

I'm pretty sure they've got their own team though.

    @CST80

Do you think US fans will take to Hearn's approach of looking to build cards, rather than superstars?

HBO has seen pretty poor results as a result of trying to focus solely on creating 'superstars', rather than focus on a card as an 'event'.

Obviously the 'event' and the way he likes to stack cards full of 4-5 hours of fights, rather than just 2 or 3 fights televised ones is different to the usual HBO/Showtime approach.

One issue I see right now in the US is that there's just so little boxing, and such small levels of activity from everyone.

That’s total crap, at least as far as Showtime is concerned. Absolutely nothing new to doing it that way as they’ve been doing it for years.

Almost always PBC shows the majority of the card for their Showtime fights across platforms — some of it now on Facebook or Twitter, then maybe some of the undercard on Fox or Showtime Extreme and the main couple of fights on Showtime.

If this bit is true...then there is a difference.
Just looked up the Garcia v Porter card, only 3 fights being televised on Showtime.......That's different to Hearn's cards.

    Stop getting so defensive man.

For a guy who has no interest in DAZN, you're spending as much time in here as me.

I’m a British boxing fan and a massive James Tennyson supporter but I’m realistic and I predict Johnson and Tennyson will be outclassed.

Tennyson is very vulnerable and Farmer can punch hard enough to cause him problems as well as having a much higher skill set,Johnson is a rugged competitor with decent ability but Beterbiev is quite simply levels above him.

I see both being KO losses for the U.K but Tennyson definitely stands the biggest chance as he is genuinely heavy handed and once he gets a rythm going he can bust people up at short and long range. He needs to keep it tight early doors and work his way into the fight, not worry about being behind on the cards and basically wait for his foot pressure to get him in the right areas so he can hold his feet and let loose. If he start warming to the task and get Farmer back pedalling uncomfortably and rattled by the half way stage then an upset could happen.

At the same time he could get stopped early so it’s an exciting fight.

Ah I see Danny O Connor v Tommy Coyle has been made for the BJS undercard.

Nice fight.Should be entertaining at a level where we know neither are troubling even fringe level but who cares?

What do we know about Galahad’s opponent @IntentionalButt @CST80 ive never seen him but I’ll bet you have.

It’s a brit heavy card but the BJS-Andrade card looks very strong now.Competitive fights throughout.

I've seen him a few times, his one blemish was a KO loss to Jhon Gemino, which is nothing to be ashamed of, Gemino is one of those guys like Derek Edwards or Darnell Boone and several other Filipinos with several losses. If you go in there unprepared and reckless, they can catch you and knock you the **** out. And that's what happened with Clary. But like with Badou Jack and several others who've bounced back from KO losses, Clary has as well. He recently picked up a win over the talented and undefeated Moralde, which was a solid scalp. Clary is fast, kind of awkward and a southpaw, an upset is very possible.

I appreciate where you're coming from, but I think you give Beterbiev too much credit and Johnson not enough.
