A lot of rubbish spoken in this thread. Here's a few realities: 1) Anwar is a tough challenge for Theopane. 2) By no means is Theopane scared of him. 3) Anwar is very good boxer but uncertain would be able to win on his toes as he likes to do so against schooled fighter like Theopane. 4) Hamilton has less pedigree than Anwar but is not necessaily an easier fight (if Sky had shown his fight vs Watson the other week would have more credit as challenger). 5) Theopane knows Hamilton, has sparred him and would rather fight someone who's style he knows intimately at short notice. 6) Anwar has not got a glass jaw. Took a lot of shots from light middle Nathan Graham and in Prizefighter.
haha i urge all of you to go to the general and see the new thread turd made claiming that khan would beat james kirkland at 154:roll:
I think Theophane would win, but he avoided it. I saw an article on World Boxin News where Maloney said he offered the fight to Theophane & at 1st he wanted a larger purse, then turned it down when he was told no. On the same site, Theophane was trying to make the argument about how Hamilton's better then Anwar, so why didn't he ask for a bigger purse to fight Hamilton, but asked for a bigger one against Anwar, even though he thinks "Anwar isn't as good as Hamilton."
Forget the bull**** all fighters talk. He knows Hamilton well. He doesn't know Anwar well. Anwar may be better than Hamilton (not 100%). But if you had the choice of fighting someone at short notice, wouldnt you take on the guy you know better.
Awkward fighter, has long arms and a decent jab but has a awkward stance which for some fighters make's it hard to gauge range. He's got a good engine and is always in gym. Nothing special but then again Ben Murphy wasn't/isn't and Theophane struggled so Hamilton can cause some problems.
