Floyd has probably had 4 to 5 tests in his entire career outside of that he has take the clever choice.

Example - Ricky Hatton in 07.

Floyd coming off his biggest win vs the now part time fighter in Oscar comes back down to 147 to face the 140 champion.

Ricky looked terrible in his last and only other performance at that weight yet gets the fight ahead of Mosley, Cotto , Williams, Marg , even Cintron.

Floyd was in deep against all of the above yet a fighter with no experience at that level gets the shot??!!

Floyd then takes a holiday until the coast is clear or a passage to bull**** through. Cotto got beat by blah blah blah , so did Marg, so did Williams ...

Already pointed to why the Marg fight didnt happen. Cotto himself admitted he did not want a floyd fight back in the day because he was to green. Pac rejected OSTD and signed a fight with Clottey

Maybe Paul Williams. But, nearly everyone avoided tall Paul, who legitimately deserved a big fight at the time and called out everybody. Even Mosely who would damn near fight anyone...said hell no!

Bro you can't be serious disregarding the fact that both Mosley and Cotto are on RECORD saying they didn't want to fight at that time.

You mention Margarito and Williams what did either do at that point or in there entire career that puts them over Hatton?

Get serious Mayweather apparently avoided test by fighting guys better than who he supposedly avoided.

How big of a test of are they if they were getting there ass beat by guys Mayweather whopped and or aren't half as good as the guys he's fought?

Yeah Floyd refused the Pac fight because he demanded OSDT and then when they did fight he was caught cheating g himself. Floyd is a joke.

In hindsight, Mosley should've taken the fight. Shane would've killed him.

Wiliams decisioned Margarito in 2007. That's his big win. He followed that up in 2008 with a loss to Carlos Quintana. By 2009, he was a junior middleweight. By 2010 he was done.

The only year (actually it was only a couple months) when Williams and Mayweather seemed like it would be a good fight was 2007, immediately after the Margarito decision, and that year Floyd fought Oscar and Hatton in two of the biggest money fights in boxing history (to that point). So Floyd was busy.

After he Williams lost to Quintana in 2008 and moved up to junior middle and middle, and started to get battered, knocked down and knocked out, it wasn't even a possibility.

I don't hold missing out on a Paul Williams fight against Mayweather.

Williams didn't turn out to be very good. His window closed about as quickly as it opened.

Looking back on it, yes, this is true.
