So who are these young prime contenders that have done more? Joyce and Zhang aren't exactly young, and Anderson, Hrgovic and Sanchez have one good win between them.

 

The chances of Fury fighting Usyk without the Saudi money are about a trillion to one.

Now the money is forcing his hand he's dreading the inevitable loss, he can't put it off much longer. The excuses are going to be biblical in scope - the cut will just be one of many.

Interestingly, when he fought Foreman in Zaire, it was observed that Ali showed disdain for Foreman’s previously cut eye - meaning that Ali didn’t expressly target the eye.

Rather, Ali was looking for a “clean” win and avoided a potential reopening of the cut eye so that it couldn’t be used as an excuse for losing by Foreman and/or his camp.

Whether it’s true or not that Ali did actually avoid opening the eye up - imo, he didn’t have to - its part of the game but the fashion in which he did win the fight did look better than an eye cut coming into play.

But all that leads me obviously to the belief that IF Fury’s eye injury gets split open again against Usyk and it affects the complexion and outcome in Olek’s favour, - I’m sure that will be used as an excuse by Fury and his camp - even though Fury himself would target the eye if the roles were reversed - certainly elbows were given the green light vs Ngannou.

If I was Olek’s trainer, I’d say go for the eye along with everything else - Fury’s a fighting man, he should understand that type of approach better than anyone else - but it still won’t prevent him crying poor after the fact.

 

Hopefully Fury gets cut over the other eye during the fight. That'd be ironic.

 

Fury is in top shape, best he is ever been(we all know how he achieved this), and this was their plan all along. Ngannou fight was a preparation for the Usyk, and to get into a certain shape, and then push for me.
They expected easy work with Ngannou though, but he literally beats Fury into oblivion.
They needed more time and do their magic postponed the fight twice already since it was signed.

Fury is a dirty cheater, that are getting a pass from the refs and media, cause he is big name, and has big promoter behind that pays the bills. The refs knows if they wanna get their check again, aka be on Queensberry show again, they need to do their job, so they somehow turn blind on fight night.

The guy should have at least 2 loses on his record officially by now, and should have prolly be DQ in the Cunningham fight.
Plenty of other times he should have been deducted at least a point.

Also to date no one still explain the "insane" video quality. And not a single person explained how there wasn't blood flowing out of the cut.
