Sure there was controversy in Toney vs. Peter I...but if you are fortunate enough to have it taped, look at James' face before the decision was announced, he knew he lost. I was at the time, and still am a big James "WBC Eliminator" Toney fan, but the controversy only benefited Maskaev and Toney...not the winner of both contests. It was close, but James lost.

Maskaev has bleated so much about all kinds of garbage going into this one, I think Samuel has waited so long for this fight to actually happen he just wants Oleg in the ring.. I think Maskaev required the larger ring and Samuel has just agreed to it for the sake of finally getting his hands on his championship.. The WBC have bent over backwards to all of Rappaports demands.. Only a matter of time now before Samy gets his reward.. Remember before Maskaev pulled out of the MSG date, they had the historic Garden ring was changed , then McCline had to act as substitute opponent. The ring suits Maskaev not Peter.. Peter will catch him any way..

    God Bless..

Another example where the ring size actually didn't make a damn difference.
It should've even favoured Maskaev, but it was to no avail.

    No, Don King ordered it.
