Once the great one Calzaghe moves up to give Hopkins a well deserved beating, there are excellent match ups for Kessler at 168. The division is very deep. 1 ) Lucien Bute - the IBF champ - an excellent boxer with power. Undefeated and a southpaw. Tough match for Kessler. 2) Kelly Pavlik - once he knocks Taylor out again. Tough match for Kessler. 3) Carl Froch - very heavy handed, undefeated British champ. 4) Dennis Inkin - Undefeated Russian with over 30 wins. This guy is an amazing technician. Check out his fights. 5) Jurgen Brahmer - very strong, southpaw from Germany. 6) Jermain Taylor - would be an easy knockout win for Kessler, but nice name recognition in the USA 7) Allan Green - another easy win for Kessler. But a name in the USA. 8) Edison Miranda - a good name. But his crude wide open style would result in him suffering a brutal knockout, like he did against Pavlik. A fun match while it lasts. 9) Winky Wright - would lose by a wide margin to Kessler. Would run a lot. 10) The Winner of the Contender - Sakio or Jadon or whatever his name is. Ha Ha Ha. These guys are both a joke. An easy win for Kessler either way. But likely to a commercial fight in the USA.
Don't underestimate his new "star power" and the backing of HBO. He can get any fight he wants, and will soon be in a title match.
Miranda is the obvious choice. Beat the **** out of him in America to further his profile. Then go after Bute.
