Alvarez, Ortiz, Bradley, Mares just after thinking for a few seconds. There are plenty.

as much as i hate him amir khan just seems to have that WOW factor about him. wat that WOW is i dont really know. but people are just facinated with him the public and media just seem to gravitate towards him in england he's a superstar ever single person there knows him he was a multi millionaire before he had 10 fights and also loads of books and dvds out at the around the same time. so as soon as he starts getting into huge fights and has the HBO camera crew start following him around he'l breakout proper in the usa he'l most likely be supported by about a billion muslims

Of course he can. People dont understand that in most cases its 1 fight that elevates a prospect to superstar. Lennox Lewis wasnt a superstar until he fought Holyfield and to be honest it was actually the Tyson fight that made him really big.

Haye will immediatelly become superstar if he beats either Klitschko.

LWW, MW, SMW and CW are stuffed with good fighters. The only problem is to make all them fight each other.

I'm talking about stars. As in, fighters that people tune in to see and who in a way carry boxing (because boxing is just as much carried by the lesser known fighters as well)

I am not talking anything about stepping up or making history or throwbacks or whats exciting or not. I'm talking about boxing having fighters that people recognise and tune in to see, and who do decently big numbers. Boxing stars. As is the thread title. Stars has nothing to do with subtance, and everything to do with box office attraction. The two shouldn't be confused.

Whether they make history or not is on them, and will effect how they are remembered and held up within boxing, let alone in boxing history, no doubt.

But ya man, it would be a greater sport if fighters werent so diva'd out these days.... and what they dont understand is they would actually make MORE money and have BIGGER names if they actually fought eachother more.

    But.... again, with

    Khan
    Maidana
    Ortiz
    Bradley
    Alexander

They will start clashing soon and stars will be born.

Gamboa can be a star, so can Lopez, Rigondeaux, and the winner of 140lb unification. Paul Williams could be a star (maybe). Ward may become a star. Alvarez could be
