Galento and that other dude look like a couple of Neanderthals in daisy dukes in that video. That clown is so incredibly wide open when he charges in, just ridiculous form for a pro fighter.

Greb has a legendary resume to back him up. Galento has getting his ass handed to him by a super middleweight while having a 52 pound advantage.

The only person who’s laughing right now is Ngannou. Laughing all the way to the bank at people who paid big money to see him fight two highly ranked boxers.

Beyond cutting somewhat similar silhouettes, wide waters separate Tua and Galento in class, pedigree and fitness, especially in their respective primes. Tua was brought up as an athlete (an Olympian, in fact) and was made to fight grown men at a young age. He defeated enough former champions for this not to be dismissed as coincidence.

Galento was a smoker, drinker, and excessive eater.

Though it's true Galento's status as a contender was not wholly undeserved, his persona also had a part to play in why he got his shot (much like a certain Cameroonian). He is perhaps most well known for catching a well-thought-of champion on the chin before quickly being shown the door.

Prime Tua, on the other hand, was a ball of muscle. And even past his prime, when his poor habits caught up with him, he was never stopped. Galento, by contrast, was prone to cuts, could be stopped outright, or just lose via DQ. It is argued that Nova, Tony's highest profile win, could have easily been a DQ loss.

A 30-second clip surpasses Tua's entire career, are you sure? Galento, whose best win came by way of thumbing, has the leg up on a ledger including the likes of Rahman, Maskaev, and Ruiz?

I'm sorry, but that is a truly terrible take.

Galento thumbed Nova continuously throughout the fight. He dragged him down and kneed him more than once as well. Amazing he didn't get DQ'd in that fight.

Galento was an absolute dirtbag in the ring. One of the very few fighters I dislike. His style of fighting was more suited for the type of fighting Lenny McClean used to do. He's nowhere close to being in Tua's league.

Galento in fairness was also probably a 168lber in shape making him also a P4P Mac daddy too.

I literally pictured Ali grabbing a handful of fat from Tony's gut with each hand when I read your comment.

Best case scenario for Tony would be the fight unfolding like Ali-Wepner, with him making it deep into the fight, his best work landing dozens of rabbit/illegal punches in the clinch along the way, then eventually getting stopped late.

Prime Ali, Galento struggles to get a glove on him.

Galento could beat anyone. All he would have to do is burp or fart during the fight. The ref judges and the audience would suffer as well.
