Who just fought a 57-year-old mentally unstable shitbag? Oh, ok. I'll do that.

taking nothing away from pacquiao but his "weight-jumping" is a bit overblown.....he came up from the lower weights, which is only 2-3 pounds difference between some of those weight classes he fought at...

to me de la hoya and mayweather's weight jumping is just as impressive because of the disparity between the weight classes those guys fought at...

hell, mayweather was fighting at the same weight when he was 16 too, just not as a pro like manny...

If Cotto wins it'll be as a result of his own ability as a top level fighter. Pacquiao has proved that he fits Welterweight perfectly fine.

You make it sound like it's so easy. If it's so easy, everyone else would be doing it, don't you think?

True, but every now and again somebody special comes along that can overcome that.

Agree overall, but manny had a period of growth, he started at 16, he was still just a kid and growing.....he is now a natural jr. welter with ww power....he matured into the fighter he is today.....but no doubt his skills also played a role in being dominant in those weight classes....

Such as Henry Armstrong, Roberto Duran, Thomas Hearns, and now Manny Pacquiao. I ask myself how much a 5 pound difference is really going to make? If Pacquiao punches that hard, and looks that good at Junior Welterweight, he should have no issues fighting Cotto at 145lbs. Now whether the opponent has to much of everything (size, power, strength, and skill) remains to be seen. Lets hope for a good competitive fight.

The pounds between weight classes isn't the point; it's the percentage of the fighter's body weight.

Manny is not as small as he is made out to be....he has a stauchy frame, and is bulky in the lower body.....mayweather has a slender frame compared to pacquiao and jumped weight as well....

Nazim richardson said in ring mag....manny is not as small as he is made out to be...
