Just in: Albuquerque’s Victoria Cisneros was defeated by a shutout unanimous decision to WBC/WBA Welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus in Herning, Denmark. Scores were 100-90 across the board. With the win, Braekhus also became the WBO champion.

I remember one time I was watching a Mia St. John fight, and I swear to God...I spent the entire fight staring at her ass.

That lady on the left is Cecilia "First Lady" Brækhus, - WBA, WBC, and WBO welterweight champion.

She's something we Norwegians should be very proud of: only the second world boxing champion we've ever had, and the first one to hold more than one title belt.
No small feat, considering that professional boxing is illegal in Norway - she actually has to fight out of Germany to have a proper career.

you get some real hard tough girls who do know how to fight but will never get promoted as strong because being pretty usually gets you further. the amount of belts also means that girls with less than 10 wins can actually nab a title. rankings are completely formless

jaime clampitt is my personal fav

Cecilie Brækhus won the WBO belt fighting Cisneros, who has more losses than wins on her record :patsch

    Who cares, she's hot :D
Seriously, womens boxing has had it's ups and downs. Some women were very good and feared like Lucia Rijker (she's Dutch :happy) but others just seem to tribe on the lack of opposition and amount of available belts. There are very few real good women boxers in the world.

Vinni Skovgaard fought this Belgian girl Diane Schwachhofer on the Kessler Froch undercard. I was amazed that she was undefeated going into that fight. She looked as if she hadn't boxed a day in her life.

On a side note the Belgian girl was wearing velour trunks. The headline in the Danish media the next day was: "Vinni Skovgaard defeats velour clad Belgian"
