There is a reason Haye being so confident in defeating Klitschko

Before I'm shot down, I know you guys are sick of hearing predictions, but hear me out for just a moment.

Logically thinking about the whole Klitschko - Haye fiasco and pre-fight build up - I know one thing about this fight (I think) and why Haye is so confident despite others saying it's all a front. This guy truly believes Wladimir Klitschko will fold under the pressure 100%. I have no doubt in my mind Haye is planning to overwhelm Wlad in the early stages. I'm certain Haye does not intend this fight to enter the latter stages, not a chance actually.

Make no mistake. Haye will wait for the opportunity to land a huge shot, then pounce on Wlad to finish him off. Haye will pressure Wlad early and pounce on him, with Haye attempting to overwhelm him with a bombardment of punches..

There is one possibility that plays into the hands of Wlad here, Haye could possibly mentally shutdown late in the fight. Why? As above, he truly believes Wlad will be unable to deal with the high intensity and pressure he'll bring early in the fight.

I honestly believe Haye thinks Wlad is fragile and mentally weaker than him. Whist this may be true, Wlad is a more matured and brings a cautious approach to every fight before breaking them down. Surely knowing the plan of Haye.

There is not a chance Haye wants this going past the 7'th round at least!

    And a question for you.

Do you truly believe Wlad (again) will shutdown like he did in the Sanders fight?

    It's unlikely.

    He never jumped on Harrison.
    He never jumped on Enzo.
    He never jumped on Valuev.

Can't see him doing that now against his most dangerous and hardest punching opponent.

Then Haye will be beaten. If he doesn't pounce on Wlad like I expect him to then I'm pretty sure Haye is toast.

I think he'll be wary of the humiliation as well.

Imagine after 2 years, 2 years of trash talk, the fight being made 3 times before it actually goes ahead......and then he gets KO'd in a round - I don't think he'd risk that.

Huh? I really thought after that build up you had something new to say that we all had somehow neglected to notice. Really this could have just gone in the same thread as everyone elses opinion...

The only thing lacking from making this an ATG thread was a 'trust me'.

N.B I did not actually read this thread so a 'trust me' may have been included in yet another average Haye/Klitschko prediction.

You can still 'jump' on someone and not fight like an idiot. Haye did jump on Enzo, and also Harrison, but he was smart about it - bided his time and then sprung into action.

He'll do the same with Wlad. Feint, set traps. The great thing for him is that Wlad will allow him to do all this. He's basically a slightly more aggressive better version of Audley Harrison, and Haye can deal with that.

There could be a flip side to all this - high profile / pressure fight though.

It could bring out the best in Wlad - the beast in Wald.

He was shocked by Corrie Saunders and Brewester - he was expected to take care of them comfortable enough.

He knows Haye is a big danger - big fight - this is the big time fight.

Wlad is going to be determined in this fight to make his statement and may well be more aggresive than usual.

Well if Haye in his head genuinely believes he is a massive outsider to win this fight I think that's exactly what he will go for. I suppose as well as believing that he could win in this manner on the other hand he could go out on his shield in the first round giving his all and not suffering long term damage and of course then being quids in.

To be honest if Audley did that tactic against Haye and got crushed in the first round I personally would have doffed my hat to him, he genuinely had no chance of winning in any other way.

Does that equal the best Wlad though?

Haye has said he wants him to come out aggressive and trying to take his head off. That means more chances for him to get a big punch in himself.

You can bet your house Haye will probably be looking for an early opening and pounce at the opportunity when he feels Wlad is shook.

Haye is toast after 6 rounds (I'm absolutely sure of that). His chance is to finish the job early - it's that simple. Haye has no business trying to out-think and out-box Wlad unless he wants to be crushed.

I think you're selling Wlad short to say the least. You can't take fights where Haye could do exactly what he wanted, when he wanted to do it. It would actually be better for Haye if Wlad was aggressive because then he would give him chances. This fight is actually the opposite of what you've stated. The problem for Haye is Wlad can be winning this fight doing the absolute minimum, something non of those opponents could do. If this fight starts off like Haye/Harrison you can bet it's Wlad who's putting the rounds in the bank. I think we're underestimating just how effective Wlad is. He's basically mastered the best punch in the game, with the rare qualities of someone with the size and athleticism combined with world class boxing skills. Historically that puts him in a very special column.

Wlad, Manny Steward and the whole boxing world is expecting this. It's the most intriguing fight that i've possibly ever seen. Anything can happen. After watching both fighters from the start, anything can happen. Im predicting Haye to get stopped around the 4th.
