Schmelling outsmarted Joe Louis, there is nothing to say Ali wouldnt have done the same thing. Ali had an inch on Joe Louis and a 4 inch reach advantage aswell.

Pac would've been schooled at FW by Pep. Worst stylistic matchup possible given Pep's phenomenal lateral movement and upper body movement combined with Pac's straight forward style, which would lead to severe balance issues and many countering opportunities by Pep.

    How is this funny?

Joe Louis doesn't show me that he had great lateral movement or the type of headmovement that would be necessary to get underneath the Klitschko's punches and it's not as if Wlad is a stiff.

As far as Vitali is concerned, he's got a good chin and a thudding punch. Louis would have to get inside to get to him, but everytime he moved inside he would risk taking huge punches.

So, I don't see this is funny.

Vitaly is slow as hell, limited, and gases after 4 rds Louis would easily KTFO of him in the mid rds, Wlad would be tougher as he has good handspeed, movement and has shown good stamina but he has to many holes in his game to beat Louis who when at his best has a shot against anyone.

Yo, you are bugging. Good post lol. Louis was ko'd in his prime. Now people might say Louis was still green or whatever the case, but Ali went down in fights, and got up. Where he stayed up. Louis stayed down. Now Louis did annihilate the man who stopped him in half a round, but that is the difference between two of the greatest heavies who ever lived. Louis's 25 defenses will probably never be reached so that isn't too shabby either:yep :bbb If ali and Louis fought, this is how the fight goes:ko . Ali best ever.

There is a way, and it's a good possibility if both are on their best night. I used to believe this too, but I actually started watching and analyzing Louis' fights.

I personally feel that Ali would win, but if you honestly don't see it being competitive, than you are simply ignorant about Louis and his skills and ability.

I would bet the farm on Ali if they ever fought, let me put it that way.

No disrespect to Joe Louis, but he would have gotten koed by the likes of Tyson, Bowe, Lewis and probably even Holyfield.

Louis was definitely disciplined enough to learn modern techniques. Louis always said that it was only Marciano's "come-forward" style that was always a huge problem for him so..... ? Frazier did a lot of damage to Ali with body punches and Louis was one of the best body punchers (rib breakers) of all time. Furthermore, Ali's head games would only have worked against him if he tried it against a man like Joe Louis.
