100% false, there is such thing as a weak chin, exactly the reason Shane Langford of Wildcard that was on the last 24/7 is no longer fighting, he does well in sparring, though sparring your supposed to work together, trains his ass off day in and day out he is in the gym all day, and has been knocked out countless times, he can no longer fight, the kid just can not take a shot.

Punch resistance is THE most important variable in boxing. Without it, you will almost certainly not go far.

Okay, fine. At the end of the day he gets the last laugh. There are lots of iron-chinned lightweights who didn't win world titles last night.

Point is, that doesn't jive with "almost certainly not going far". His chin was already exposed and yet now he's wearing a strap. For that matter, so is Wladimir. Your logic that it's the most vital component of the game would appear to be flawed. It's something that can be worked around if it isn't up to snuff and all the other pieces are in place. Like how deaf people have heightened senses of smell, sight and taste. :yep

Khan's mantra before each fight-> "I shall protect my iron chin at all costs in this fight"

There are exceptions to every rule. And Wlad's chin is IRON compared to Khan's. This will become apparent fairly quickly, I believe.

Some fighters get KTFO'd frequently and are said to have a 'glass jaw,' I don't think anyone literally takes that as the fighters chin (in the anatomical sense) is actually weak.

It is more likely that there are some fighters with extraordinary punch resistance than a lot with extremely low punch resistance. Tyson, Mercer, Holyfield, Tua, McCall etc, are all well above average.

Maybe you are confusing Glass Jaws with the mythical P4P? :huh

P4P does not exist. It is all conjecture, myth, and fantasy. It is never proven in the ring. Glass Jaws are proven in the Boxing ring.

Glass Jaws exist in Boxing always have and always will.

If your punch resistance was down to conditioning, luck and mental toughness?

Pacman could fight Wlad Klit and not get KO'd.

After all, Sam Peter managed to not get KOd. Pacman has better conditioning, mental toughness, skill, makes his own luck etc.

What this example shows is that punch resistance is hugely tied to physiology.
