I'm not suggesting anything about pacquiao or that he needed it or wahtever any one else may be implying... maybe I'm saying bob arum was scared that cotto would present some problems for pacquiao..... all I'm saying is I don't believe that the fight was legit.... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-Qkab5817U[/ame] he was either stage shocked or holding back..... dude looked like he was holding back to me
Clottey was in Top Ranks camp, got a little bit of shine after losing a disputed decision to a damaged Cotto and Arum took advantage. It was an easy fight to make. These guys were playing the 'he's bigger than Pacquiao card" and successfully sold it. I remember telling people that Clottey was way to defensive to make any noise in that fight. Dude is still around, just back to the obscurity in which he dwelled in beforehand.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WamicbwgBhw[/ame] or this.... wtf was that fake ass wobble at 6:20? cmon now... something is fishy about this fight
The fixed fight was the Mosley vs.mayweather ...... that is 1000 percent sure. You should have seen Oscar's face when Mosley almost KOed Gayweather. It was like "WTF? He is not following the script" look.
Not a fix, Pac made Clottey shell up and fight even more clottey'ish then normal. Wasnt the first fight Clottey lost on inactivity, probably wont be the last.
look at this ******..lmfao..you all mad bro:rofl:rofl I'll beat you up and make people laugh at you if we meet.:hi:
Pac turned down 40 to make 7.4...Pac has never made more than 22.5 in a fight..meantime Floyd breaking the purse record without manny..*******s fault...yea they shouldn't comment on things they know nothing about. Clottey gave an interview where he pretty much admitted he was paid to blow the fight.
Your numbers don't add up: http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/7858863/racing-boxing-highest-paying-sports-espn-magazine Also, $40m = less than $30m after Arum's cut = not a serious offer for this kind of fight. But you knew that already.
I know if I was a promoter, I'd take the risk to bribe the overwhelming underdog to lose in completely unexciting fashion on a massive PPV card so that I could...um...have a laugh? :blood What's next, Pete? Insulting American Repulicants and Dumbocrats at the same time? Have you no respect for tradition? :bart
