There is no weight minimum people

Capitello himself said 150 is to Margo's advantage. He was draining himself at 147 and still destroying guys, now he gets to weigh in 3lbs heavier yet fighting someone whos naturally a 140lbers.

 

Did you just attempt to counter his argument by supplementing it?

 

The only 'cheating' going on is that this is for a 154 title and they're not allowed to weigh 154. But that's not cheating Margarito, or the fans, just all the fighters that had to do it the hard way against opponents of the full weight and size.

But, my personal catchweight gripe aside, Pac coming in light is definitely not cheating. I don't think that, against this particular opponent, it's necessarily a disadvantage, either. Pac's biggest asset is speed. Not coming in too heavy will maintain that. He still looked pretty powerful to me at the weight-in; much more so than in his lightweight days.

 

Call it what you want.. It's the truth, never said it meant anything, but the man has fought above WW more than once.. And Margarito is having to come in 4 pounds below the limit. Talk about no weight minimum all you want, but this is true.

 

I agree.. It is what it is. In no way cheating, but not quite comparable to SRR/Lamotta.
