hmm says . . . still want a Haye fight . . . also wouldn't mind seeing Valuev go at it with them for shits and giggles . . . and my fantasy for both Clits to go at it . . .
Haye will fight them. He's just not stupid. Too many UK boxers (Honeyghan, McGuigan etc.) behaved like headless warriors when they had the strap and came out of the game with far less than they should have as their reigns were too brief. I told you back in April ... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=216540 ... he's going to make sure he's got a rock-solid financial future first by taking a few lower-risk money earners while he's got the belt and the profile. Then he'll fight the Klits. Considering the number of 'bankers' the Klits have on their resume, I can't see one side or the other as having the moral highground.
I really don't understand why a boxing fan would want to see the two best HW's retire. Theres plenty of good fights out there. No doubt if the Klit's were not around we would be hearing about what a great open division we're in now. There is a about 20-30 HW's about now who are of a good standard and that's a fact.
Haye would have fought a Klit. He said he keeps UK TV money and Klits keep German TV money. But K2 wanted 50-50 straight up which they are not entitled to on any level. Haye is a champ and in the UK he makes double what Wlad does in Germany. It's not his job to help Wlad 'The Champ' get a real payday. Haye is a smart businessman and he won't fight a Klit for a bull**** deal. Wlad should just accept his position as the least marketable and consensus most boring champ in history and make a fair deal.
Frighteningly ignorant statement, MJ. Palookas do not get praised by Sven Ottke himself. :nono This content is protected
The fact of the matter is that is the truth of the situation. Great logical post using only the facts as we know them. You still have Solis, Bosty, Povetkin, Adamek and Value to go along with Haye for the K2 brothers to fight. Solis will get his shot next year if he beats Austin. Boytsov-should be in line soon. Povetkin-don't know where he stands that's up to Atlas and crew. Adamek-will be looking for his chance next year (he might get Haye instead though) Valuev-is injured and won't take the deals that K2 is putting out there Haye-is waiting on K2 promotions to give him the PPV split he wants. Plus there are other prospects who are underserving who would be willing to take a chance just to get a chance.
They should fight each other - I know and understand the reason they wont but is seriously detrimental to boths legacys
haye, solis, povetkin, chagaev(vitali), valuev, arreola(wlad), adamek or each other. they are all threats albeit light threats as underdog.
If only we hadnt been hearing that same excuse for him after he ducked them twice in 2009... it was dont worry he will fight them next year
Actually troll it was haye who said he wanted 50/50 then after he recieved it he changed his demands becuase he didnt really want to fight he would rather take on the fraudleys of the world.
