It's true there's a bunch of kids coming up the block but they're not ready and the Klitschkos will get no respect for beating them.
What's sad right now is that unless guys like Adamek and Haye step up there will be nobody for the Klitschkos to fight next year, they really might as well take the year off.

If I were Wlad (viatly is too old), I'd take some time off; let some of these bums fight each other, then maybe there would be an interesting and sellable fight. No point in digging arouind for top 40 fighters to fight at this point

    I agree with Vitali.

My understanding with Wlad is that he is going to fight Adamek in March then probably some other defense and maybe Haye at the end of the year.

I thought it was the other way around on Adamek. I could've sworn I read he was in talks to face Vitali in March. I want that fight.

I could be wrong, but who does Wlad fight then?

Vitali at least has a mandatory.

I just see Adamek somehow landing Haye. Its too natural and good of a fight not to happen, and since Adamek used to be a light heavy and is not showing great power at heavy, its certainly a reasonable fight even by Haye's standards.

I agree with the sentiment of the thread... Sam Peter, Eddie Chambers and Ruslan Chagaev, were the only noteworthy opponents left... Wlad ( and Vitali ) managed to finish them off. The rest of the gang, is either backing down, or is totally under qualified to make the challenge. I wouldn't pay a bucket of spit to see Adamek fight either Klitschko, and neither Haye nor Povetkin will ever step to the plate, unless they were both planning to retire immediately after, with a huge purse sitting in their lap...

Adamek can be pretty risky for Haye.

If Adamek beats Haye, then there goes Haye's huge pay day against Wlad. I think Haye knows this or he is positive that he can beat Adamek.

I think Haye wants to fight Wlad, but he is just pulling a "Mayweather" until that time.

    He already had his chance...

I disagree, or at least to some extent... The events over the past year have made it quite obvious, that Haye and his people are waiting for either:

    A. Wlad and Vitali to retire, so that he can feast on the remaining garbage of the division.

    B. Wlad and Vitali to show massive signs of deterioration.

    C. Wlad or Vitali to lose to someone who's style and physical attributes are more palatable to Haye and his people..

In any event, the behavior of Haye and his management are not that of a team that is building a TRUE champion, but that of a faction that is protecting an asset while milking the sport nickel and dime... The fact that Haye is fighting Audley Harrison in his next match, and is regularly taking on 36+ has beens, is telltale of his intentions....This is certainly nothing like when Michael Spinks fought Larry Holmes in his very first bout at heavy weight, nor when Evander Holyfield fought some 5 contenders in his first two years in the division, and was readily willing to take on a man who had a death grip on the title... No, this is just record padding and propaganda... The very sort of thing that is ruining the sport..

You are a total **** face. As I have said again and again.... Wlad has a ****ing **** flat-rate TV deal cos he is too ****ing boring to get a PPV anywhere in the world. He therefore brings **** all money to the fight. We also don't know what other **** he tried to pull in the contract and what kind of BS options they tried to weasel in. K2 are a pack of lying ****s who just want to **** the division and the ******ed German populous without ever taking any risks in the ring. You can keep sucking their dicks while you watch them fight fat overmatched bums but I call bull****.

Haye wanted the fight. They offered him a **** deal, he counter offered, they got self righteous and had to **** off and fight bums for no money. Dicks.

    That could be true.

    Boxing would suffer ultimately.

However, Haye's chin is questionable and he knows this so if someone that can punch fights him he could be in serious trouble.

He would blow all that money he could have made by fighting Wlad by fighting someone that only makes him $1 million (and possibly lose) vs. fighting Wlad and make say $5 million.

    Risk-Reward.

Make no mistake about it- I pick Adamek. But I think Haye will figth him because

    A) Haye perceives that he is the more natural, powerful heavy, even if he does not realize that Adamek had equalizing attributes

    B) He had no intention of ever fighting Wlad anyway, as he knows that an enraged wlad migth seriously hurt him.

I don't think Haye will fight Adamek. Haye is trying to get out of his mandatory with Chagaev. He plans to fight Holyfield next.
