    :rofl:rofl

Grade A china. Khan, as many of us have said, is the next Fraudley. He's gonna get knocked out cold as soon as he faces anyone any good. Maybe before.

You best believe his handlers will keep him away from ANYBODY who can hit at all now. It's back to the guys with 2 or 3 KOs after this!

    thats a very good point.

tito was notorious for going down early and yet he got up every time and knocked the guy out.

I agree. It was a good shot but was obviously a flash knockdown as he is obviously off balance. Gomez looked good and kept bringing the war to the inside where Khan was not used to unloading his speedy punches. Khan pulled through. Gomez fought with a lot of heart. The fight might have ended a bit early but was a great fight and Khan showed he could go to war. :good

DLH had many kd's too and now is known for his "iron" chin.

the michael gomez who fought last night was not shot, was there really believing he could win.

it was a flash knockdown and tbh it didnt really make any difference as khan pretty much won the round after that.

if you want to make the case that khan has a glass/china chin because he went down early a couple of times in his career, fine - dont discredit fighters he thought just because it suits your argument. Gomez was not shot, and any suggestions to the contrary is utter bull****.

he may be finished now - but last night he was old, but there to win.

Khan's chin is definately an obvious weakness at the moment. But he has recovered well when being hurt on both occaisions and gone on to win the fights. Fighters like Tito, De La Hoya and Cotto have had their chins questioned but when they moved up in weight they proved to be suprisingly durable. Khan is a huge lightweight and may always be one punch from being KO'ed as long as he dehydrates himself to make 135lbs.

I am still reserving judgement on the quality of his chin. But at 135lbs with his lack of defence he is just waiting to be KO'ed. We'll see how bad it really is when he moves up in weight and isn't so dehydrated.

Amir does not need a good chin. No one in the Lightweight division will be able to withstand his power for long enough to land a punch on him.

what planet are some of you people on?
how much more evidence do you need that he's got no chin.

first of all this bollocks about him being drained and how his punch resistance will be better at 140. :patsch
remember the ameteur fight? against Watson or somebody...he was dumped and on spaghetti legs then. The feather fisted Limond had him in dire straits and only the ref saved him from defeat there. Now dropped by a standard Gomez hook and on shaky legs. On top of that it looks like hos body is made of glass too.

bad chins (and his is bad) can be protected by good defences....his defence though is sh1t...and i blame warren and oliver harrison as well as khan....

a good offense + good defence + crap chin = world title these days as there are 4 to go for.

better get yourselves to chinsavers (floyd snr /roger mayweather)

Knocked out by who ?? They've avoided big punchers so far in his career.Gomez although a strong puncher, i would'nt say his punch is world class at super feather, and as you know he fought khan at lightweight. As gomez rightly said, his speed beat him, not even so much the power. Khan is mad talkin bout world champs at this stage.Speed of punch is what stands out for me with khan.Thats it.Whoever said he needs to learn how to clinch, is right, but he needs to also learn to fight on the inside a bit, lookin a bit one dimensional !
