There is something missing in this fight with Parker and Joshua.

Neither fighters has charisma or that "it" factor. Parker seems like a likable guy but he's quiet and Joshua...well lets just say that when he talks he leaves much to be desired.

Both have dull personalities-no offense. It seems like this is a bully fight.

The bully seems to have picked a fighter that he seems to think that he can beat. It's like Bluto is getting all of the props and it seems that Popeye is fighting Bluto without his spinach.

It just doesn't seem like fight week with these two. Nobody seems to be talking about this fight. We hear more from Hearn than we do the fighters. I hope that the fight turns out to be a good fight.

Joshua lacks a natural right hand, movement, a consistent jab, and imo he has no real boxing skills...but he has a good left hook and uppercut. He's a decent offensive fighter who seems to be always bigger than his opponents in size and weight. Parker lacks boxing skills, but he has speed, good balance, a good winging right hand and good combos when he can get inside.

Still there is something missing from this fight.

There was much more anticipation to see Wilder Ortiz than Joshua Parker. Maybe the risk factor was greater. Nobody expects Parker to win. Nobody knew who would win between Ortiz and Wilder.

    Something is missing.

Parker dominates in all 4 categories, but he's the smaller man. Size matters, but size doesn't matter.

Not much personality on show but that isn't what makes the casuals pay up and fill a stadium. Joshua is still an unproven commodity for me, certainly far from being the complete fighter his fans think he is. You look at Parker and he has the youth and mentality that might burst the bubble, get Joshua out of rhythm and detonate some bombs, but it's likely the show won't end until Fury is in the ring with Joshua. I'm expecting Parker to go the distance at least. If Takam can go 10 and be stopped by a ridiculous referee then Parker can go 12, obviously this depends on Parker's strategy.

They are not trash talking, yet they will draw 80,000 ringside, Wilder trash talks and he can't draw flies, if afraid of Whyte won't fight him for $4,000,000, Wilder is afraid of Joshua, will not fight him for any amount of money! Wilder runs his mouth, but that's it. He cheated Old Man Ortiz, ref gave Wilder extra time to recover...............Vlad/Joshua drew 90,000 ringside, try to do better than that and they did not trash talk at all, not even a little.......................plus Vlad was 41 years old and had been inactive............Wilder refused to fight Vlad for Vitali's title, Vlad would have knocked Wilder out, hell Parker would knock Wilder out, notice Wilder did not want to fight Parker either..................Wilder knows he is a cheat and a fraud!

I think its more because of people wants to think this is a big mega fight. And they kinda do. But deep in their hearts they know that this fight will likely not be very competitive.

    Its good on paper.
    It looks good.
People wants to believe its competitive.
But... most of people believes/thinks/knows it will not be. And it creates that ''missing'' part.

    No one talking about it?
Thats because you are in america where no one gives a rats ass what happens outside america.

Here in the UK its a big event and will make a fortune.

Its that ignorant attitude that makes wilder think he can demand 50-50 and the fight in america against a guy who earns 20 times what he earns.

That whats this fight is missing for you ignorance and stupidity

Only reason people wanted to see the Ortiz Vs Wilder fight was to hope Wilder got knocked out.

AJ has marketed himself as the "role model" style boxer to get as much sponsorships and "good" limelight as possible. Companies these days want to be marketed by the "good guy whose got a godly physique". In business terms, its incredibly smart as it drives up sponsorship deals, TV appearances and general media coverage. Its just playing the game.

    An American.

What it's missing is an arrogant American who thinks he is the greatest of all time.

    We get it Blizz.

Believe it or not, but not everyone has to yell about how great they are for people to believe them.
