About seeing Margarito have his azz brutally whipped by Shane that night, especially looking back on it, after he's taken the Pacquiao beating, and the beating from Cotto with one eye both without being nearly as hurt as he was against Oldsley, watching him so obviously and pitifully rocked by punches is kind of wierd for someone who seems to be immune to them :think

Not an expression I've seen on his face before or since

I'm not disturbed nor disgusted (except maybe the last two or three unnecessary rounds against Pacquiao), but if I had to pick one of the beat-downs of him that left the biggest impression on me, it would probably be the Shane fight. Just hammering shots rocking his head back with blistering speed.

the most pitiful thing i've ever seen was Wlad crawling on the canvas after Sanders knocked him down.

Interesting opinion. For my part I was actually jumping up and down yelling at the screen for Shane to finish him. Cause after watching the cotto fight I just couldn't believe that the guy could be hurt. I litterally thought the guy was the terminator. And when Shane mosely (whom I thought was getting served up to die when they signed the fight) at 35 years old (or whatever he was at the time) came out and out muscled, out hit, out fought and out manned him I was extatic. Add to that the fact that I had pretty much completely turned on him the second that hand wraps thing got anounced and it really took my enjoyment in the beating to a whole new level. It was definintely one of those you can only feel this way cheering about boxing momments.

Nothing unpleasant about a cheating fraud getting starched.

Hope he continues fighting to fulfill his dream of laying dead in the ring.

Oh at the time I loved it

But today I rewatched Cotto - Margo II (the original is one of my favourite fights), and it's just strange to see a man who had broken eyesocket that was clearly not healed, closed up and bleeding during the fight, taking full power shots from Cotto and laughing them off and doing his best Rick Flair impression 'WOOOOOO!'...it's wierd seeing that, then remembering how badly his azz was handed to him by Mosely, he actually looked scared during the fight

As you said it's wierd seeing the guy with the terminator image so completely destroyed

Hmmm his sudden mettle down against brewster was pretty bad too. Althought at the time I was also pretty excited to see both. Cause back then (before I followed boxing on the internet) I was your typical North American boxing fan. Not a boxing nerd. Just a guy whom likes boxing and cheers for are guys and boos the other guys. And the K bros were the other guys. Wlads grown a lot since then and I've caught most of the fights over in Germany and England so I don't really consider myself too much of a homer any more (may even cheer for Froch against Bute). But anyways the point is I've gained a lot of respect for Wlad since his two beached whale impressions and I'd probably prefer he go the rest of his career without that happening again. I'd probably like to see him knocked out....but would at least want to see him take it like a man.

Mosely was a bad ass, he was thoroughly pissed off at the same time Margo was unwell & doing desperate things to make the weight.

A lot of factors combined to make that fight what it is, an incredible demolition job of brutal proportions

I enjoyed see him get bashed by Mosley, I never really liked margarito, I suppose I sort of enjoyed the Pac fight too, don't want to see him get smashed again.

Wonder what he has over Cotto than Cotto can't seem to hurt him, think it's a pride thing? or Cotto just being not a hard hitter?

Maybe. Personally, even when I watch the fight today I more enjoy it cause its really is one of those "last great fight of a once great champion" type performances by Shane. So I more enjoy it cause of the performance of the winner then the beating of the loser. Also I think its safe to say the lingering spite from the hand wraps issue probably shields me from the remorse I might otherwise feel. Frankly the biggest irry feeling I get is when I watch MArgo fight period. He really should have been banned for life for that crap.

The Pacquiao fight was a really weird one. I felt a huge sense of revoltion that he got the Pac. But I wasn't completely discussed by the fight because I actually thought it was a very ballsy move by pac to take the fight. Cause wraps or no wraps I knew Margarito would be a very hard fight for Pacquiao. And it was. I actually feel like it was one of pac's best performances and really gets overlooked because Margo was such a villian in that fight that its hard for people to give him enough credit as a fighter to be able to give pac his just dues for beating him so badly.

Also btw if you get a wierd feeling when and indestructable force gets 100% man handled, beat, broken and abused in the ring I'd watch the Froch bute fight with caution......

It was honestly the most satisfying victory for me to watch( in terms of 2 fighters I didnt really care for). Especially after Merchant said something was in found in his wraps RIGHT before the fight. Karma can be a *****. FOr him it happened rather quickly.

The AZZ beating Shane Mosley gave margarito(e) was godly. Cotto(e) and emmanuel couldn't put margo(e) out on his feet the way Shane did despite landing much more shots.

Anyone catch how Shane touched his gloves at the end of the 8th after almost killing him? Shane has way too much sportsmanship, margo(e) just tried to load his gloves against you

Shane get's to many chances like Zab but Shane's personality prob helps him sustain whatever fans he has left.
