I was A HUGE SSM fan at the time and thought he had enough in the tank to handle the over hyped Margo. Then the bombed dropped where Margo had tampered with his gloves. So I thought back at the beating he gave Cotto and the time he almost ripped buddies ear off and it all mad sense. That was probably one of the biggest highs I ever had from watching this sport over the decades. Then Pac with the follow-up beat down was icing on the cake . . . the only thing better would have been for that ******* to be behind bars or at least banned for life. I feel absolutely no pity for Margocheato . . . loading gloves is THE most frowned upon act in boxing. that ******* did not deserve a payday against Pac or Cotto and those where the only two big fights I did not watch live for that reason.
i'd rather watch it than the last few rounds against pac and the latter rounds against cotto. not sure how much factor it played too that he had a hard time making weight.
Its cause and effect at its fines.t Margacheato can come up with every excuse he wants but he was the heavy favorite and couldnt win one round.
I was a big Margarito fan long before Cotto 1 so I admit,it took me a lot longer to share the sentiments of the majority.I didn't enjoy Pacquaio beating Oscar either but there are several examples of unpleasant beatings.Much as I liked Hatton, there was something that tasted a bit sour watching Kostya fighting like a shadow of his former self. Notable additions would be;Leonard-Norris,Hearns-Andries,Mayweather-Gatti and Barrera-Khan.I only really went against Margarito in the second Cotto fight. Margarito-Pacquaio is right up there with the worst "want to look away" fights.
