Might be worth it. So many people seem to disagree with the result. Dana scored the first 2 roudns for Diaz and the last 3 for Condit. I think most gave Diaz the 5th. That could sway his card alone if he is re-thinking it. Not sure if it would sell as a main event again with people knowing Condit will fight like that. It would have to be a co-main event. Fact is, Condit has time for another fight. If Condit is to lose his next bout, it makes business sense for it to be to Diaz.
makes sense in a way, feel for condit though he already felt as though the UFC didnt want him to win now they do this haha
A clear victory in my eyes, but it's what the fans want and their is money to be made. It will happen.
me neither but diaz can only improve, condit can only do the same cant really see him looking any better
nick will win the second time **** carlos the natural born jogger hes a ***** all he does is running.

If I was Condit I wouldn't rematch Diaz straight away. **** him. Condit has rightfully earned his shot at GSP and shouldn't have to earn it twice. He clearly beat Diaz. Diaz should now fight Fitch who are both coming off losses to decide who goes to the back off the line and who stays in contention.
I'm torn. On the one hand I thought Diaz won and Condit could certainly do with another win to cement himself as a viable challenger to GSP. Plus with Koscheck looking substandard against Piere its not like there's any other viable alternatives. On the other if Diaz loses again (and most of the time instant rematches just confirm the first result) then that does rule him out of the GSP fight. Business wise I'd think moving forward with rehabbing Diaz (feed him the likes of Koscheck and Hughes) for a Spring 2013 fight with GSP makes more sense.
This. And this is what it would have been if Greg Jackson hadnt thrust a massive "health and safety" sign in the octagon
What everybody seems to be neglecting is that Diaz is a fighter with a very limited life span. His defence is face first. He's been that way for a long time now. The longer they put it off, the more likely he doesnt get in with Georges until he's past it - and that's not far off now
I'm confused as to whether to shake my head or roll my heads at the suggestion Diaz should face GSP before Condit. Some people here don't understand the point of an interim title and how important it is to get the unification out of the way as soon as the champion comes back. The only way Diaz gets to be the next to face GSP is if they do the immediate rematch with Condit and Diaz wins. As I said the risk is that if Diaz loses again then you have to put him up against tough guys to rehab him i.e. Hendricks, Fitch, Ellenberger and that increases the likelihood he loses again. You don't do the rematch you can do a soft rehab against fighters you know he'll beat Hughes, Koscheck and perhaps even Akiyama. To me the latter is a safer way of getting the GSP match made as soon as possible.
