There is. It's called "Toughman Contest". On the otherhand, boxing is called the sweet science because the object is to hit someone while avoid being hit back.

This is hilarious. For so long, people convinced themselves that Mayweather was afraid of Pacquiao and that Pacquiao was to man to beat Floyd. Floyd beats him with relative ease, and now people want start changing the rules. Anyway, aggression already is rewarded in boxing, effective aggression. Simply coming forward and/or throwing punches doesn't take much skill. Now if your aggression is trapping the other fighter, or walking him into a trap, or making him uncomfortable, that takes skill.

10-10 rounds ARE CRITICAL to fix this. Two fighters can be even when one has done damage to win rounds and the other just dance and land soft jabs.. Many rounds that are close and have no clear winners should absolutely be scored 10-10.

Floyd gets away with too much.

Put two Floyd's in the ring, what do you get? two ballet dancers circling each other throwing kisses at each other, disguised as jabs

Put two Pacquiao's in the ring, what do you get? An exhilarating, action packed fight

Now hear me out Floyd fans. I'm not blaming Floyd, he wins by exploiting the flawed and biased scoring system. It's the system that is screwed. If many of those inactive rounds are scored 10-10 and the aggressor being favored at times, Floyd would be forced to be more of a fighter, not just a defensive wizard. What he does is not easy, kudos to him for his physical gifts but it's terrible.

And rightly so. A fighter charging around the ring throwing punches at thin air is making himself look an idiot, and as boring as a yoghurt knitting society's annual conference.

refs should not be afraid to take points away from mayrunner when he clinches or blatantly runs away like he did in the 12th round, that was horrible!!! that would teach him and then maybe he would be forced to fight like a man not like a *****!

one thing is for sure, the ring has four sides and they only have 3 judges at 3 sides so adding 1 might be getting better judgement. judges should also be raffled which includes international judges for high level fights. hopefully, technology will help also to eliminate biased judging.

Agree with this. But 10-10 rounds or not, some judges are gunna favor outboxers while others favor in fighting. I do think more 10-10 rounds will help more accurately score fights. To score a round 10-9, a boxer should clearly seperate himself from his opponent. That could be a single big punch that rocks the opponent, or outlanding him by a certain number of punches. But in the latter case, there should be some threshold that is needed for one fighter to win it. It's just that a boxer should have to do something signifcant to win a round, where now judges are just kind of arbitrarily picking one guy because they feel like they have to give the round to someone. That's where the problem lies. It's always going to be instinctual and based on a judges boxing philosophy, but in low out-put fights more even rounds can really improve judging accuracy.

Where you get that fight like a man garbage from. You must mean a dumb man. Floyd fights like an intelligent man and he showed that by beating a dumb man.

aggression cant be quantified like clean punches can. Being aggressive is something you can do while boxing. Clean punching, and avoiding 81 percent of punches thrown is boxing. Why don't you guys just switch to MMA?

if he outlanded him 2 to 1 how come pac didn't look like he was in a fight, never knocked down, wobbled, cut, bruised or bloodied?
