Dirrell deserves more respect for his performance than i've seen him getting. He showed a hell of a lot of heart in that fight and if it wasn't for the 2nd round KDs he would have won. Not taking anything away from Degale, he deserved the nod but it was a very close fight and Dirrell proved he is still an elite talent. A rematch would be 50-50.
I hear DeGale is looking ahead to Kessler. Eat your heart out, Andre. :tong (and Carl, goober, you could've fought EITHER of these guys for a decent payday, but no, had to chase after Chavez, which is now down the drain, you numpty)
Nope DeGale beat Dirrell in his own country when he was only operating at 45% of maximum ability and he probably would've knocked his ass out had Dirrell not been given a 90 second interval to recover between rounds after being dropped twice and badly hurt in the second round. Dirrell was given another extended interval to recover after being hurt in the following round too. Stick a fork in Dirrell he's done. Just make sure you don't stick it in that glass jaw of his or you might end up losing an eye. :deal DeGale has got 168 on lockdown for the foreseeable. Learn to accept it, appreciate and then love it. :deal
Im a fan of Degale and predicted him to stop Dirrell, but Dirrell isn't done by any means, he impressed me a lot in that fight.
No there really doesn't. Not interested in it. Degale is on his way up, Dirrell is on his way down. No need or reason for a second fight.
I'd be inclined to agree with you if you weren't wrong. It isn't just Andre who is done his sloth-faced yapping chihuahua brother Anthony is too after he also got his ass paddled in his own country and by journeyman Derek Edwards' sloppy seconds. Don't forget that it was only six months ago that very same Derek Edwards who was 1-3-1 in his last 5 (2 loses via stoppage) almost derailed the Andre Dirrell hype train. See what I mean about sticking a fork in his ass? :deal
I had Dirrel comfortably winning, and even had I scored the 3rd a 10-7, which is tough when it was ALL Dirrel for the first half the round, I still had him winning by 1 rd and a half.:thumbsup
