There seems to be a consensus now that Haye would beat Adamek

I don't ever completely write fighters off really but I'd make Haye a 90/10 favorite. Those odds must seem ridiculous too you, but I've stated my reasoning as simply and plainly as humanly possible. Just a terrible style match-up for a guy who just doesn't seem comfortable at the Heavyweight limit too me.

    - I'm not Polish.

    - I'm not saying Adamek hits as hard as Haye, he doesn't. i'm saying that he hits hard enough to hurt Haye which makes the power advantage nullifed since Adamek could hurt Haye too. You get?>

    - Adamek was a legit hitter at CW.

Adamek was knocking on Grant's supposed glass jaw all night long and didn't get even so much as a blink back. Spells trouble, I favored him by devastating knockout tonight. Haye would have had this fight over with early, too.

Well i do think Grant was hurt at the end of round 1. The only thing we really disagree on is that i think Tomasz could hurt Haye and you don't. Hopefully we'll eventually find out.

One thing I don't think you are taking into account is that there are different kinds of power in boxing. Someone once asked Marciano who hit him the hardest, and he said Ezzard Charles, rather than Walcott of Moore. He said it just hurt more when he hit you. Adamek is no knockout artist at this weight and never will be, but he has the power to get these guys respect, and thats what it takes to win fights.

Again, the other thing is that its not all down to power.

If Adameks cheen holds out he would likely win a decision. Hay has the ability to KO him though.

Grants was stunned more than once. Blood was pouring out of him mouth for some reason. Haye? Solis stopped him and he was knocked out by small fighter in cruiserweight division! Grant hits harder than Haye. Haye's chin is not so good. Haye bad defense, Haye off balance, Haye no chin, not stamina, lunges, but Haye knows that, which is reason he broke two contracts with Klitschkos.

Addie, you dont win the fights with power alone. I think that Haye would have a chance against Adamek in early rounds, but as the fights lasts longer, Adamek outpoints Haye. This is how it works. Better stamina, higher workrate and hard cheen. Haye is way more powerful, but Adamek is a few levels above the Haye's opposition at HW. At least Adamek fought 2 dangerous young boxers (Estrada, Arreola), while Haye fought only 35+ yo boxers.

What consensus. Your own polls seems to contradict your original post!

I am serious. I think that Estrada (29 years old) or Arreola (29) (who are in their primes) are more demanding opponents than almost 10 years-older 2-time WBA world champion John Ruiz (38), and the skill-less giant WBA world champion Valuev (37).

Personally, i believe both are, in a way... very vulnerable to the other in a very interesting and intreaguing matchup, and it is a fight that should happen.

Haye has all the tools IMO to nuetralise most of what Adamek does, hes fast of foot, fast of hand, has the ability to control space most of the time, and does indeed have the punch to hurt the mighty Adamek.

However, the flip side to that, imo, is that underneath all the athletacism, and physical advantages Haye will be bringing with him in the fight, comes what Adamek is all about.... and that is grit, toughness, determination, workrate, heart, the ability to wear you down, the fire to 'answer you' within the ring if you get to him, and one of the most important attributes.... he finds a way to win. He does what he has to, to be the one with his arm raised. And i believe that the sum of Adameks strengths, match up decently with Haye.... as well as vice versa.

Now... both will have a much different task then they have had in some time, fighting a guy who isnt much naturally larger then themselves, and it will be fun to see them be able to fight their fight against someone relatively their own size compared to the fighters they have been fighting. And while i favor Haye ever so slightly (but rooting for Adamek all the way!) i think it would be one hell of a matchup and one that needs to be made and that cant be missed.
