That wraps both fighters up before the match, in front of both teams. There is way too many weird things going on during handwrapping.

no. i think wraps should be cut off immediately after fight, in the ring, and held for a predetermined amount of time. in case issues arise, they can then be examined by an independent analyst. gloves have set rules for use, so that shouldnt even be a dispute. all this stuff is already set up so that its done above board. multiple individuals have the power to stop proceedings at any time to insure everything is legal. if they let something get by, thats on them. if theres evidence something was altered outside normal proceedings, then analyse the gear.

Nah. Just better monitoring from people who really know the rules of hand wrapping a pro fighter.

I've seen that happen at small, local shows, where one guy wraps everybody's hands. And, in every state that has a commission, there is an inspector standing there watching him do it.

I've wrapped hands in a number of states for amateur and pro shows. At the amateur ones, nobody watches the wrapping but the fighter has to get his gloves after being wrapped and when he does, the wrapping is inspected by an official and the official marks the wrapping with his initials in a way that tape and gauze can't be added or taken away without damaging the initials. At pro shows there is an inspector present watching the wrapping, when you finish wrapping, the inspector initials the wraps and then doesn't let the fighter out of his sight until after the fight. They also watch when you put the gloves on and tell you exactly how they want you to place the tape around the gloves.

There isn't much that can be done with the newer type foam gloves anyway, but older trainers have told me that when the horse hair gloves were used it was standard to push the hair forward in the glove and then wrap the tape high keeping the hair tight and hard for the fist. I doubt it made much difference, but today some of the inspectors watch to be sure you aren't trying it with the foam gloves.

If anybody wraps hands illegally it is with the consent of the commission because they watch everything that is done. To cheat, it would probably require bribing somebody.
